Storm's POV

The River pack was currently eating. Sam, Eva, Cam, Sarah and I were sitting at a different table slightly away from everyone else. Alpha Jace had explained it was becuase the Mist pack wad so small, being around a larger pack would be a difficult, and sudden, change for any person to make. "You didn't even know you were part of the Moon pack?" Sam asked me. I shook my head. "I was always told I was born into the River pack." I explained. "I can't imagine how that must have been for you." Eva said.

I half smiled. "I'm over it. Some packs just treat people like Omegas. It's one of those things you unfortunately get used too." I said, shaking my head lightly. Evan had come and spoken to me a while ago. Eric was back to glaring from a distance. Sam and Cam had taken to keeping most of the other guys away from our group. Sam was directed towards Eva more, which made sense, but Cam tried his best to cover Sarah and I.

It was both helpful, and embarrassing at the same time. One member had said they would tell Jacob I was cheating on him. That had made my blood boil. Luckily, Sarah had come over: making that person leave immediately. Now we were just eating before heading over to where the Moon pack was camping out. My parents and brother all knew to act like they didn't know me.

I knew it would be weird, but it would be nice to see my original pack. Even if they were only part of what it used to be. Everyone was talking about, what I assumed, was normal over food. I tried to listen to Alpha Jace's conversation slightly more. The rouges had been attacking the River pack in attempt to get to ny parent's pack. A lot of good warriors had been badly wounded, or killed, trying to help the struggling pack recover.

Ash was very into the conversation. Ashlyn seemed okay sitting next to him. They both seemed happy around each other. "We have to be ready for the Blood Moon pack to attack. These have only been rouge allies." A warrior countered. Alpha Jace nodded. "I know, we just" Alpha Jace looked in my direction. I pretended not to be listening. "We need more time to prepare everyone. Our warriors have taken a lot of the attacks down. The Moon pack needs to show it is able to defend itself." He finished. "Storm?" Someone asked, drawing my attention.

"Huh?" I asked. Cam laughed slightly. "I asked if you remembered your way around the camp?" Sarah asked. I nodded. "Yeah, I do. There's a few places that I spent a lot of time at. Why do you ask?" I said. Sarah half smiled. "I was wondering if you would show eveyone around while Alpha Jace and I talk. It's something to do. Alpha Jace has already told his warriors not to attack any of this pack." She explained. I nodded.

"Sure. I can do that." I said. Eva smiled. "It'll be kind of weird in a pack this large." She said softly. Sam took her hand. "I'll be with you every step of the way." He said in a caring voice. Eva nodded. I smiled. "If I can help, I know a few people. Not that many, but enough to help you all feel more comfortable here." I offered. Cam nodded. "Sounds cool." He said in a weird voice.
