(Slow Updates) The forgotten Luna...or was it Alpha?

First shift

It had been a week since I woke up in a pack hospital that was not my own. The packs Alpha, Alpha Mark and his mate, Luna Star, had been kind to me. I told them everything they asked. Except for when they asked if I had shifted yet. I had told them no.

Sapphire had gotten nervous when I talked about her, otherwise, she had behaved. I sat by the pack house. I didn't know if Ash was looking for me. My birthday was in a few days, even though I never told the Alpha and Luna when it was. Twice, I heard howling it had sounded heartbroken.

I had started crying as I heard it a second time. I missed Ash and the Luna I knew. I was not allowed to leave the packs camp until Alpha Mark had a meeting with Alpha Jace. Alpha Jace was busy dealing with attacks from rouges. I waited for Luna Star to come back.

I had decided it was time to tell her my birthday was coming up in a few days. Hey, Storm...I know your worried but things will work themselves out. At least those two boys aren't bullying you everyday. Sapphire was trying. I miss Ash. I thought towards her.

I heard her whine softly to me I know you do, you don't know but he may have a mate. We don't know if he already has one. I didn't respond, I knew she was right. I stood up and walked slightly into the trees. I had heard something. Yellow eyes watched me. As I saw them, I dropped to me knees. Luna ran out of the bushes and into my arms.

"Luna, I missed you too girl." I held her in front of me. "You can't be here, this pack doesn't know about you." I could feel Sapphires confusion. Luna's a real wolf? She yelped. Yea, sorry I didn't tell you that before. "You'd think I'd be the first one noticed. But, no, you see the wolf first." I froze.

Looking up from Luna, I saw him standing there. Ash. I thought. I stood up slowly. I blinked twice. "Ash?" I said slowly. He took a step forward. Ash wrapped his arms around me. I hugged him back. Pulling away I asked "What are you doing here? It's not safe." Ash was taller than the last time I saw him a week ago, was it only a week?

He bent down slightly. "I was going to ask you the same thing. What happened to you? Alpha Jace drove me crazy wanting me to find you." I took a step back. Alpha Jace was driving his own son crazy trying to find me? I could feel that Sapphire was just as confused as I was. Hold up...this is Ash? Yeah. I thought to her.

Ash watched me, still waiting for an answer. "It's hard to explain." I said. He smiled. " Well, just try." I thought for a few seconds. "Well, after I left the pack hospital the day I went to see you, Eric and Evan were waiting for me." Ash growled.

"They chased me until I tripped and fell down a hill into another packs territory. I heard someone coming and I thought I was them. I climbed into a tree and saw that it was a packs patrol. They thought I was a rouge. They brought me here. I woke up in this packs, pack hospital. Alpha Mark and Luna Star have been taking care of me for this past week or so." Ash looked confused.

"Storm, you haven't been gone for a week. It's been nearly a month." I took a step back. "What? No, you have to be mistaken, I've been counting the days. It's only been about a week. My birthday is in six days." Ash took a step forward and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Storm, your birthday was two weeks ago. That's why Alpha Jace has been on my back about looking for you. There is no pack with an Alpha named Mark, and definitely no Luna named Star either. Are you sure your ok?" I took another step back. I turned my head to see Luna Star, but she looked different. I could see through her.

"Come here darling, it's not safe for you to go back." She took three steps before I screamed. Sapphire growled. I felt my clothes rip. I turned and ran away from the vision of Luna Star, tears blurred my vision so I couldn't see exactly where I was going. I heard Ash calling me. Storm, wait. Stop.

Sapphire was trying to get me to stop? Why? Didn't you just see that. Luna Star, she was DEAD. Sapphire realed back. What are you talking about? You turned your head, screamed and ran off. I only growled because, I heard something moving in the tress. Her words froze me. My joints locked up and I stopped in place. You didn't see anything when I turned my head?

No. I started to think I was going crazy. I paced back and forth until the sun went down. I wandered until I found a tree big enough that there were pine needles to sleep on.

Storm, before you go to sleep. Walk over to that lake over there. Take a look in it. I did as Sapphire asked. Looking into the lake, I gasped and took a step back. Is that me? Yes. I looked back into the lake and tilted my head. The black and white wolf in the water did the same, tilting its head to the left.

I'm a black and white wolf? That's never been reported before. I know, we're extremely rare. I don't think this has happened even once before. I shook my head. I found a small slope into the water and dove in. I jumped out and rolled in the dirt.

Doing so made my fur look brown and it hid my scent. What are you doing? Sapphire seemed confused. Hiding my coat color and my scent. I wasn't sure why Sapphire didn't get it. Try reaching out to someone in a mind link. What? Why. So they can torture me even more than I've been?
