Storm's POV
I waited while shock went through every mind, except Eva of course. Storm? Sarah questioned. I nodded. It's me. I replied. Cam walked closer, obviously checking my scent. It is.. He thought. I rolled my eyes. When did you wake up? Sam asked. I barked a small laugh, Eva joined. Just this morning. She replied.
All heads turned to look at the brown wolf. You knew? Sam exclaimed in shock. He sounded hurt. It was supposed to be a surprise... We wanted you guys to find out first. I explained. Sarah nodded. Why didn't you just say in the pack hospital? She asked. I barked once. Because I'm perfectly fine. There was no reason to stay there. I told her clearly. I walked around in a circle a few times, to prove my point.
Cam rolled his eyes. I growled softly. You really need to control that temper of yours. I told him. Cam growled. You should know better than to be posing as a rouge! He retorted. Sarah barked once. Enough. She ordered. Cam stopped growing, I did too because Sarah was clearly mad. Her command hadn't really touched me at all. I sat down, knowing this was going to take a while to explain.
El time skip because Pitch fell into lava
It took a while, but now everyone was ready so start heading to my parent's camp. Of course to make them think I was a half-blooded wolf, I couldn't shift. I'm sure nothing bad will happen. Sapphire told me. I half nodded. I hope so Saph. I said. Everyone was shifted, except Sarah and myself. Sarah was finishing up talking to Alpha Jace before leaving.
I walked over to a tree and sat down, leaning against the truck. I let looked up though the thick canopy. Steps approaching caught my attention. It was Eric and Evan. They wore simular expressions. I growled softly. Sure, Evan had appologized, but Eric had't. He had proven that he wasn't planning to any time soon. Evan punched Eric's shoulder lightly. "Go on dude." He said. Eric half growled. "Fine." He snarled. Eric faced me. He took a breath. "I'm sorry for eveything I've done to you." He said slowly. I nodded. Sapphore growled. I don't think he means it. She snarled. I took a breath, standing up.
"Thank you for apologizing, but it's going to take a while for me to believe you Eric." I said bluntly, walking towards the pack house. "You tried man." Evn muttered. I heard Eric take a breath. We'll see if Eric really means that apology. I thought. He better. Sapphire replied. I half nodded. I went into the pack house and to the room Katy and I were sharing. Of course my bags were already downstairs, but some of my things were still here. All I really had up here was the moon clip Jacob had given me.
I hated having to leave it behind, but if anyone in my original pack saw it: I would be exposed.
Katy was reading a book when I opened the door. She looked up, smiling slightly. "Hey Storm." She greeted kindly. "Hey." I replied, sitting on my bed. Katy marked her page and put the book she had down. "Something wrong?" She asked. I shrugged. "Eric tried apologizing to me a few minutes ago. I'm just not sure if he meant it." I told her. Katy nodded.
"I'm sure he meant it. Eric has been getting in trouble for what he did to you. Evan too, but he proved he was sorry." She explained. I looked at Katy. "How?" I asked. Katy sat up from her bed. "When you hadn't come back from running off after we found out you were part of the Moon Pack. Evan offered to help look for you. He seemed really adament that you be found." She explained.
I nodded. Guess Evan meant the apology. Sapphire said. Yeah, guess so. I thought back. "Yeah. Guess Evan really wanted to show he was sorry." I accepted. All too soon, it was time to head to my parent's camp. Kat was outside to watch us leave, Luis by her side as her mate. Jacob was next to me, though he couldn't come with. "If any of them try to take advantage of you, show them what you're really made of." Jake said. I nodded. "I will, don't worry about that part..." I started. Jacob could tell something was wrong. "What's bothering you?" He asked gently. I sighed.
"Nightfury lost his mate, he never even got to meet her. She was killed in a mall shooting. He must be heartbroken, I don't know if I'll only make him feel better or worse being there." I said softly. Jake nodded, putting one arm around me. "You'll figure that out once you get there and have a moment with him. I'm sure your brother will be glad to have his younger sister to help him." He said comfortingly. I nodded. "You're right. I'm just worrying over nothing." I sighed. Alpha Jace and Sarah came out.
Jacob waved as I turned to meet uo with the others. "Ready everyone?" Sarah asked. Everyone nodded, me included. "We'll have to go a little east on them at first." Sarah started. She looked at me. "Storm, you're going to be one of the last ones we put to train with them. But you'll have a chance when we first get there. Alpha Jace said that the Moon Pack warriors are uneasy about us being there. We'll have to show them we can fight." Sarah added. I nodded.
"Got it. Go easy on them, but not so easy that they think we're not the right pack to help them out." I reworded simply. Eva nodded. Cam looked around, anxious. "Are you okay Cam?" Sam asked. Cam looked back. "Yeah, just wanting to get going already." He said. I could tell he was lying, but didn't say anything. Sarah nodded. "Then I guess everyone is ready." She said. It was a while before I started to catch some unfamilar scents.
My parent's pack camp must have been closeby. Everyone was in their human forms, to show we were not a threat. A low growl picked up. A red-brown wolf loped into view from the bushes. The size said it was a girl, but that she had just turned seventeen. Her eyes were a deep green. Cam gasped softly, taking a few steps forward. "Cam? What are you doing? You'll be seen as a chew toy!" Eva yelped.
The wolf half growled but stopped. She walked over to Cam slowly, checking his scent. They both just stood there for a few moments. It was unnerving to waot like this. The wolf then turned and walked into the bushes. Cam turned to look at us again. "What were you thinking!?" I asked. A small growl started.
"You had better check who you're talking to, half-blood." A voice threatened. I looked towards the voice. A girl was standing there. Her green eyes seemed to glow in the small pool of light she was standing in. Her hair was light brown, but had tufts of red like she had natural highlights. "How were we supposed to know you weren't going to kill him?" I half growled.
The girl took a few steps forward. She was taller than I was, but only by about two inches. "You won't even be able to understand. You're a half-blooded wolf." She snarled. "Enough!" A voice growled. I turned to look at Sarah, but it wasn't her who had spoken. Cam was looking at me and the girl like he was worried for both.
His eyes held worry and anger at the same time. It was like when Jacob was thinking about killing someone after I woke up in the hospital. They're mates. Sapphire said softly in the back of my mind. That's why Cam was so uneasy camp, but was calm when she showed up. I realized, taking a few steps back. Cam sighed softly. The girl turned to face him. "You were worried about her?" She asked in an accusing tone.
"Of course, I was Hannah, she's in my pack. They couldn't tell." Cam explained. Her name must have been Hannah. "Okay... what is going on here?" Sam asked. I rolled my eyes. "Isn't it obvious? Cam found his mate." I said. Sarah smiled. "I am so sorry for the misunderstanding. We weren't really given perfect directions." Sarah offered. Hannah nodded. "Where ae you all heading?" She asked. "The Moon Pack camp. We were requested to help come train the warriors." Sam said. Hannah looked shocked.
"You five are the Mist Pack? Everyone thought you were going to be like an army." She said. I shook my head lightly. "Numbers don't mean very much when you have training and experience." I said. Cam seemed thankful I had understood. Hannah looked about ready to shift into her wolf and rip my head off. I could tell Hannah was weary of Sarah, she clearly knew she was the alpha.
