Siyabonga
I fucking hate that bitch! Why the fuck would she send security away from her house. She knows that she is important to me yet she did this shit! Now I have to spend my time searching for her useless self because her damn son won't shut up about her!
Haai mara umuntu uhamba ezenza izinto engayazi ukuthi zizomhlupha!
And those foolish men! Leaving without informing me, I'm the one who placed them there and they didn't even listen to me. Nxa! Mangimthola ngizombonisa ukuthi ubani ophethe la!
"Prince, any news yet?" I asked him pacing up and drown. I could be bonding with my wife right now but no! I had to be here.
"Uhm, Mr" I felt something, more like someone pulling on my pants
"Yes" I looked down at my carbon copy.
"Where's Amanda" he asked with his thumb in his mouth one of the reasons why he has a lisp. And Amanda never liked being called mom
"She went to visit one of her friends"
"Why did she leave me then, have I been bad" his light skinned face turned light pink, his bottom lip wobbled and tears filled his eyes.
"No boy, never, you haven't been bad. Your mother just...wants to visit her"
"Oh" I felt like that just made him want to cry more
"I've got hot coco!" Xola said coming into the office
"Uncle Siyaaa!" He let go of my leg and ran to Xola who placed the cups down on the table and picked him up, throwing him in the air.
Why can't I find it in me to love him. He deserves so much better than his fucked up parents
"Bafo, uright? (Brother, you alright)" Xola came up to my shoulder and pat me.
"Yeah...yeah, I'm fine"
"Mmm" he said not believing me
He walked out probably to make my son sleep.
Damn you Amanda!
45 minutes later
It was getting late and there was no information about Amanda's whereabouts and that ticked me off even more. I was drained already so I decided to head to sleep.
I walked out the office and headed downstairs where the bedrooms where. As much as this is a warehouse, its also a safehouse and since I had no where to take the youngling, this place was the safest bet.
I got on the master floor and as I got closer to the door
"Uncle Xola, why does my daddy hate me?"
My heart broke at the sound of my son's words
"He doesn't hate you. He...he's just worried about your mother." Xola said
"Oh. Night night uncle"
"Good night boy" Xola tucked him in and kissed his forehead.
I moved back a bit when he approached the door
"Bafo-"
"Do the right thing for and to that boy Siyabonga!" He pushed past me
I walked into the room and edged closer to the bed. "I'll be better for you my boy. Good night, daddy loves you" I kissed his forehead
I felt a warm feeling bubbling inside me. I walked out and as I closed the door, I heard his tiny voice "goo'night daddy" .
I walked downstairs to the kitchen and made a cup of coffee
"I could be with my wife right now." Xola said coming in
I choose to keep quiet, not having the energy to respond.
"You know how long we tried to have kids. And now she's pregnant with my child. I'm the happiest man alive"
"Aii siyakubongela bhuti (we are happy for you brother)" I said dreading this conversation already
"You know, what's funny is when you found out Amanda was pregnant, you said you weren't ready to be tied down and she said she doesn't want her 'figure' ruined! And we asked you to give us the baby, he'd still have our surname and be one with amadlozi ethu! But you!" He pointed at me
"You said you'd take care of him, do the right thing and yet uMa no Baba abazi ngaye (Ma and Baba don't know about him) and he's already 4 years old!"
"*sigh* where are you going with this" I turned to look at him
"*chuckles bitterly* 'where are you going with this' yeyi wena shlama leyangane ayitholi uthando lwabazali bayo bobabile besaphila (hey you asswipe that child isn't receiving love from his parents whereas they are both alive) and to make this fucking matter worse! You got married! Left your bride in your house! Ran straight to your crazy as fuck baby mama who doesn't know your married! Who is also one of your damn agents! And your wife knows nothing of this! You piece of shit! Nxa" he walked up to me, poking my chest as he spoke.
"Ufuna ngiyenzeni bhuti! You know Amanda doesn't want me to introduce uboy to our ancestors! And I thought that by now I'd have figured shit out but I haven't! Because I'm fucking human! I make mistakes and shit happens!" I nearly shouted
"Why the fuck would you not tell me that then! I'm your damn big brother and I'll always help your idiotic ass! Regardless of what it is that you need help with! Haai marn uyisdom jeerses! (No man, your an idiot)"
"I know bafo, I know. But where do I start. My own son thinks I hate him." I said sitting down
"Well you don't exactly show him love stubhunga (idiot)"
"Thing is, I don't know how to show him love"
"Do what mama and baba did for you when you felt sad, be there for him, tell him that you love him and just...be there for him" he placed his arm on my shoulder.
"Thank you bafo" I said close to tears
Shitty father of the year award goes to...me!
"Don't worry. We'll go through this together. I got you" he pulled me into a hug.
"I appreciate you" I said pulling out from the hug
"I know you do"
"Mxm!" We laugh.
Now...what next
"Haai I'm tired and I want to call my wife so, night baby bro"
"Night big bro" I said and finished drinking my tea.
I headed back upstairs to the master bedroom. I took a shower and wore a pair of sweats, after putting lotion on. I headed to the other side of the bed and got in. I pulled my son from the edge where he was sprawled out at and I placed him near the center of the bed.
He turned and cuddled into me. His tiny hand wrapped around my big hand and I kissed his forehead, going to sleep with the thought...
No one will hurt you
Ever again.
