I woke up to my son on my chest, correction, drooling on my chest suckling on his thumb. As cute and peaceful as he looked i knew I had to wake him up. I grabbed my phone from the bedside post and checked the time. It was 06:40 am. I decided to let him sleep more because he'd sleep late last night.
I shifted him but he stirred and woke up "Good morning" I said brushing his cheek. He got up scared and he started hyperventilating. I got up and held him in my arms. "Your okay, calm down, it's okay, your okay"
I felt my chest get wet with tears "Your okay. Its okay" I kept saying until I felt him calm down. Eventually, his breathing evened out and I concluded that he was asleep. I gently placed him back on the bed and tucked him in. His thumb automatically went to his mouth.
I was so tempted to take it out but I decided not to. I got up from the bed and headed to the shower. After a 20 minutes shower, I got dressed in some sweats and matching Jersey, not forgetting a black long sleeve shirt. I finished up and headed out. I met Xola on my way upstairs
"Bafo" I nodded my head at him
"Unjani?" He asked
"Ngiyaphila, wena? (I'm good, you)"
"Ngiyaphila nami (I'm good too)"
"Uyaphi? (Where you going)"
"I'm heading out to see my wife, we got a doctors appointment today"
"Oh. Please greet her for me"
"Will do"
He walked off but not before checking on my son. I turned to him in questioning "Just checking on my nephew" he drawled out
"Mmmm" I walked off then decided to turn back around and go downstairs to make some breakfast. I felt like brown porridge so that what I made.
45 minutes later, I dished the porridge out into two bowls and I placed one in cold water, in the sink. Letting it cool down, I grabbed some sugar and poured a moderate amount in my porridge. I sat down and ate, waiting for Fano's (yes that's what I decided to nickname him) porridge to cool down.
After five minutes, i stood up, washed my bowl and placed it on the tray. I put two teaspoons of brown sugar in his porridge and stirred it. I walked up to my bedroom and found him asleep still.
I placed the bowl on the bedside table and shook him gently. "Vuka boy"
"Mmm" he stirred and turned around, pulling at the blankets
I chuckled lightly and shook him awake gently one more time. He opened his eyes, took his thumb out of his mouth and just when i thought he's awake, he closed his eyes again. I quickly pulled him onto my lap and that's when he woke up. He began crying.
Guess someone is not a morning person
"Askies boy kodwa mele uvuke, sizokwazi ukuqala ngosuku (sorry boy but you have to wake up, so that we can start with our day.)"
He continued to cry and that's when I made the decision to feed him while crying. I gave him the first spoon and he stopped crying. "Ngiyaxolisa but you need to eat" I wiped his tears, kissed his forehead and then placed him on the bed. I placed the bowl on is lap and I put the spoon inside.
He looked at me with teary eyes
"What's wrong?" I asked making sure that my voice is as gentle as ever
"I don't know how to use this"
He looked down to the bowl and held the spoon. I could not stop my anger! How could a full four years old not be able to feed himself! I took a deep breath and turned to him. I showed him how you use the spoon to eat. I left him eating happily and I headed out to the office, promising to come back to him.
"Tell me you found her Scar" I said walking into the office
"I'm sorry boss but nothing has come up"
"Shit!" I punched the wall. I paced around the room trying to calm down and think this through.
My phone rang and I saw its Sabelo. I don't have time for this. He called me again and I refused to answer his call because I didn't have the time or energy for him, or the beautiful woman who has my heart. I eventually put my phone on silent and I left the office.
I headed back to the room and found uboy fast asleep deep in the blankets. I headed into the the bathroom to start his bath. Once it was done, I picked him up an placed him inside. He woke up again and I quickly bathed him. I got him dressed and we walked down stairs hand in hand.
We found uMam'Mary cooking we greeted her "yebo Sanibonani (yes good morning)"
"Ma ngicela ung'nakekele yena. Khona LA ngisaphuthumela khona (ma please take care of him. I have to rush somewhere)" I wanted to know why exactly why Sabelo called so much.
"No problem son. I will do so" I took uboy to the living room and played some toon show called Paw Patrol. He seemed to like it so I kissed his forehead and "Boy, I have to rush somewhere but I promise I'll be back okay?"
He nodded. I kissed his forehead once more and left the living room. I headed up the stairs to the garage which was 4 levels higher. Once I got there, I took my Mercedes g63 keys and headed to the black beast.
I drove to my place and that was a long 2 hour drive. I found Sabelo's car parked in the driveway. I drove passed it to the garage. When I got out, something didn't feel right.
I reached down my back and made sure to hold my block. I opened the door and walked in slowly. I heard people arguing and when I got to the kitchen...
Surprise surprise! Ashley,
Amanda's sister!
I immediately saw red and
the next thing
I felt her claw at my arms
Trying to make me loosen
the hold on her
neck
