The Arrangement

Dinner alone

I wake up in a bed that's not mine, alone. Just how long have I been asleep ?

I turn to my right and my phone is right there, taking it. I switch it on and it reads 23: 45 pm

The house is quiet so they must've left already. Nxa. I get out of Siyabonga's bed mad and walk to my room. I quickly plug my phone in the charger and grab my slippers.

I put them on and walk out headed to the kitchen. I get there and there's a plate in the sink. So he ate my food? That brings a smile to my face and I can feel it heating up too. Argg!

I grab my own plate and get something to drink then head to the living room. I settle down on the couch and turn the tv on. Turning to Disney channel I see Hunter Street is playing. I decide to watch that and eat my food.

Once done I head to the kitchen and wash the dishes then pack them in their rightful places. I then hunt for some snacks to eat since I have no sleep. I find some oreos, caramelized popcorn and jelly beans. I grab a bottle of water in the fridge then go back to the living room after switching the lights off and checking to see if the doors are locked.

I head back to the living room and binge on some movies

When morning came I woke up to a painful back and neck...guess I fell asleep watching movies. I get up from the couch and try to stretch my neck and back but they hurt so I leave them and head upstairs with my head in an awkward position.

I reach my room and the first thing I check is my phone, I find missed calls from mom, ava and dad but none from Siyabonga. Don't know why that stung. I brush the feeling off and take my phone outta the charger

I head to the bathroom and the sight before me terrifies the scare out of me. My hair is sticking out in every direction and it's knotted and tangled, my face is hollow and my eyes have dark circles, all the life is flushed out of my face. Yikes! This is what marriage does to one.

Stay away from marriage kids! #lols

I turn to the tub and fill it up with hot water only. I fetch my toiletry bag and take out what is needed.

I strip of the shirt and get in the burning hot water. It stings but it's just right. I slide deeper into the water until my mouth and nose are the only ones out of water. I slide fully in and just stay in peace.

After 2 minutes I get out and rub my still but not so sore neck. I go back in 3 more times and then just relax in the water. After an hour I drain the bath tub then head to the shower and take a quick one.

I finish up and go get dressed in Siyabonga's sweats and my sports bra. I go downstairs and the clock reads 12:43 pm. I make muesli and yogurt and eat quickly finishing off with a glass of water.

I head back up and wear my slippers. And then search for my wallet and a jacket. I don't find a suitable one sisi head to Siya's room and grab a black hoodie. I hold it in my left hand with my wallet and phone in my right hand.

Deciding that I've had enough of being in this house I walk down stairs back to the foyer I search until I find what I want...car keys. I grab them and walk out the house.

The sun is shining so bright. I look at the car keys and they are a bmw x1 keys. I search for and locate it . I smile widely then walk to it and enter.

Ah that new car smell!

I drive out the carport and head to the entrance of this estate.

"Good afternoon sir" I greet the security guard at the gate

"Good afternoon ma'am." He opens the gate for me. And I drive out. I park close by and open my gps. It says I'm at Eastgate so I set coordinates for eastgate mall.

After a 30 minutes drive I arrive and grab the hoodie and my wallet. I exit the car, lock it and walk in. People stare at me but I could honestly care less.

I walk to pick n pay and head straight for the wine section. I grab a couple bottles of moet and sweet red wine. I head to the snacks isle and grab Doritos, Fritos, lays, and nik nacs then 3 jelly tots chocolates and one cadbury top decker. I head to the fridges and grab a black forest came and go grab a bottle of sprite with lime.

I go and pay and this cute young couple is in front of me, so the guy wants to pay but so does the girl. Watching them is so cute and hurts because it's something I'll never have.

Once it's my turn to pay I go ahead and grab 2 more lunchbars. Once I'm done I head for nandos and order a lime and herbs and chilly 2 half chicken pieces with rolls. Once my order is done I take it and head out.

I drive back to the estate and there's a new security guard. I pay them no mind and head to Siyabonga's house, I will regard it as his because I didn't but it or participate in purchasing it.

I get in the house and head for the living room and place my goodies on the table. I go to the kitchen and grab the widest wine glasses and get back to the living room. I open up my lunch and dive in.

Pouring myself a glass of some sweet wine I take a sip and sigh feeling it go down my throat.

I finish eating and I'm half way drunk so I keep go ing. I know I said I'd never drink but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I switch the tv on and go to channel o and amapiyano are playing. I turn the volume up and go up stairs while singing to some songs I know. I go and pack all my bags while crying. I head back down stairs and drink the second bottle of wine.

I change to mzansi magic and Beyoncè's songs are playing. "Why don't you love me" is playing and I increase the volume and sing to it. After a couple more songs i'm tired and kak drunk. I decide the stairs are too far and grab two cushions.

Somewhere in between my dancing and crying, I managed to move the table somewhere. I settle down to the floor and grab a shawl off the couch and sleep right there.
