MakaZamah

"Where's my mother!" Ziyanda and Kelvin kept screaming. "Calm down" uMakaSiya tried holding them. "No!!!" They continued crying. "Come on guys. I'll take you to them." I picked them up and they continued crying on my shoulders. "it's okay." I walked to mine and Mlu's room. I found Zamakha sleeping on her father's side.

This girl and her father are too inseparable. I placed Crystal's children on the couch and covered them with the fleece blanket. "BABA!" Sbani walked in screaming for his father. "Sbani!" Kelvin woke up from the noise and immediately began crying.

"Its okay Kelvin. Sleep dear child." I placed him on my lap, hushing him as he cried himself to sleep again. Once he was asleep, I placed him besides his sister and stood up. "Uthi kwenzekalani (What did you say is going on?)" We walk out, leaving the door ajar.

"Mkhul'Sakhumzi said uBaba ka Ziyanda woke up."

"Okay. Thank you son. Go on to the game room. I'll come fetch you when it's time to go to the beach." I kiss his forehead and he kisses my cheek before walking away. I take my phone from my pocket.

"My better half."

"Baba ka Sbani, Bhut'Siyabonga is awake."

"Okay. Thank you Nhliziyo Yami."

"Yeah..."

"Nhliziyo Yami khuluma nami." I looked for a quiet place. The living room was the right place. "How'd this happen?"

"Angiyazi Nhliziyo Yami. I don't want to lie. I thought Siyabonga was okay."

"Were there any signs?"

"None."

"How-how is she?"

"The doctors are still with her."

"Okay oh-oh my goodness Mlu! Let me call you back." I quickly end our call and rush to Zandile.

"Sis'Zah" she was crying. "He still loves her." I felt a deep wave of confusion. "Who? Who still loves who?" We walked to the kitchen. I quickly got her a glass of sugar water. "Siyaxola-" she broke down into sobs.

"What about him? Wait, where is he?"

"I left him somewhere. Can you believe him! He-he...he actually confessed that he loves Crystal. And to top it off he says that she was his first!" What

"Wait, say that again."

"Makasiya and uBaba had arranged for Crystal to marry Siyaxola but she fell in love with Siyabonga and that's when Siyaxola decided to give me a chance. I should've listened to my mother's warnings. Hell why didn't I listen!" She continued to cry.

I couldn't believe it. "I-yhoo okay. Uhm-"

"Not only did I act a fool by marrying him, I had his child! I could see the signs. I saw everything but I said a child would fix us!"

"Okay why would you think that?!"

"Desperation?"

"Clearly. You deserve so much better than this Zandile. Where is that woman who refused to take anyone's shit? Hmmm? That one who had Siyaxola walking on eggshells if he stepped out of line? You have lost yourself my dear. Find that woman and bring her back. This, this is not it."

Just then, Siyaxola walked in. "I need to feed my baby." Zandile walked out. "Sisi-"

"Yes bhuti?" I focus on him. He looked so worn out. "I -has...any news on Siyabonga?"

"He's awake." Every bit of me was itching to ask but Zandile entrusted me with her emotions and I can't betray her like that. "Thanks" he walked out

"Sure." I prepared a picnic basket...
