Running

~Reader's pov~

Dad helped me up carefully, as to not open up my wound from the other day or night I don't recall on if it was night or day.

I gave my dad a huge hug and started to sob softly.

This is the 1st time he comforted me in years, I would normally have had Ellie help me with comforting because dad didn't know better.

"Dad..this place is a nightmare...." I said softly as I let go.

He takes a deep breath in and out.

"I know (Y,N) but we will make it out of here alive or die trying" he says.

I nod my head slowly understanding.

Another thought came to mind.

"Dad where are lex and Tim? " I asked while turning my head in different directions.

"I left them at the visitor center, Tim got shocked by the power being turned back on when we were climbing over a fence in the park, I left him there to be safe and heal up" he explained and let out a sign of relief.

I was relieved to know that the kids were still alive after all this time being on this God forsaken island.

"And right now I was looking for everyone else" dad says as he rubs his forehead.

"I got left behind when I was taking a bathroom break which is pretty damn  stupid if you ask me" I said in a irritated manner.

Dad smirked and looked around.

He saw Ellie limped up the hill slowly.

She saw us.

"Ellie!" Dad says.

Ellie mouths run and runs up to us while limping.

Her pink jacket was nowhere to be seen on her.

Ellie hugged dad tightly and cried ar the sametime doing so.

She looked over to me.

She pulled me into the hug as well, she knows that I'm a sucker for wanting hugs but never got them.

I enjoyed this one while it lasted.

We broke the hug.

"I never lost hope that would live" Ellie says as she drys her tears away.

Im glad Ellie was back with us I wanted to know if she turned the power on all the way and it seemed that she did.

"We need to get the kids and find the others" dad says.

Ellie took his hand.

"Follow me to the emergency bunker, we need to get a weapon for you" Ellie says as we start to run towards the direction of where Ellie was leading us.

While we were running I looked off to the side and saw a body of some sort.

"Hey guys look.." I say softly.

They look in the direction of where I was looking and saw the same thing.

It was Muldoon badly hurt, he was still alive but his face was mangled from whatever got to him.

"We can't take him we need to leave him behind" dad says.

I look at Muldoon sadly and nodded slowly and got up.

"I'm sorry.." I say softly and we ran away from the area we were going to with Ellie.

I panted as I held my side together if I ran any further I would collapse or even worse die of blood lost.

Ellie opened a door that led down a very long staircase.

"Come on" Ellie says as we wall down.

I grunted as my side started to open up again, it was extremely painful.

Tears came down my eyes slowly.

Dad took notice.

"What's wrong ? " he asks.

"My side..is opening up..."I say softly.

Dad took no time and picked me up and started to carry me down the stairs.

This helped a lot but it still opened.

I held my hand tightly on the wound and panted and grunted at the sametime.

Once we reached the bottom I opened my eyes slowly.

I saw Ian and Hammond.

More relief went over me.

Ian and Hammond looked over and saw they both smiled.

Dad put me next to Ian, Hammond looked at me concerned.

"What's wrong with you my dear?" He asks as he walks over to me and sees the wound.

I slowly moved my hand and showed Hammond but put it back quickly to prevent more blood from leaving me.

"Oh my..I'm afraid we will have to stitch you up and and need more bandages" Hammond says as he walks into a storage room.

Meanwhile my dad went over to a row of shot guns and picked up the 1st one he saw and cranked it to be sure it was loaded.

"Just the 2 Raptors right? You sure the 3rd was in contained?" Dad asks Ellie.

"Yes but it must have figured out how to open doors" Ellie says as she fixes her hair.

I looked up to Ian and saw he was stating at me with worry.

"Don't die on me now, we just became a thing a couple of days ago your precious to me" Ian says and I smile a weak smile at him.

Ian kisses my head softly.

He starts to rub my back gentle to prevent me from getting a relaxed feeling.

I looked over to dad and Ellie who were talking about on how they need to get back to the visitor center to fetch Lex and Time.

"We will be back, we need to get this place back online and get the kids" dad says as he and Ellie walk up the stairs.

I hope they make it.
