~Reader's Pov ~

The air was so dense and humid but that's jungle weather for you.

I puller out a bottle of water and slowly drank it.

Levine and Diego we also taking a break.

I wouldn't blame them we literally just climbed up a cliff for crying out loud!

I put the water bottle in my bag and sat down on the ground for a couple of minutes.

"We should get a move on and find a place to set up camp for the night we do not want to be here after dark it could get very dangerous " Diego explains as he puts his back on his shoulders.

Levine nods at Diego and looks at me.

"Yes I to agree with Diego we need to make camp soon " Levine says to me.

"I also agree let's hurry before it becomes dark " I say as I put my bag on my back.

"Alright then let's go and stay together" Diego says as he starts to walk towards the jungle.

Me and Levine look at each other and then we both started to follow Diego.

The jungle was so green and dense I bet flashlights wouldn't be so good here.

I can only hope we don't run into any Dinosaurs we don't need that right away.

I'm still a bit traumatized about that journey to the island before this one.

All the deaths the blood and gore and especially the face of Robert Muldoon he was scared and was dying and I had to leave him behind.

That guilt still haunts me to this day.

But back to reality.

It felt like hours since we started to walk in this dense jungle I was pretty sure we were lost.

What we really needed was the high ground.

I whipped also a bucket full of sweat off my forehead.

"Everyone stop" Diego says quietly.

Me and Levine remain close and still without any voice to speak of.

I mouthed over to Diego what is it?

He didn't say anything he was listening to the sounds of little branches breaking.

I went dead silent and prayed it wasn't something bad.

Diego backed up to us slowly.

We were all ready to run just in case.

We looked down only to see that a little green lizard was right in front of us.

But it wasn't just any lizard it was the little Dinosaur known as Compsognathus.

I remembered those Fuckers they always tried to snap at people when they got the chance.

Me and Levine were relieved.

"Oh thank god" I panted out as I whipped another thing of sweat off my forehead.

"We are lucky but this is a very beautiful specimen " Levine says as he crouches down and let's the little lizard sniff his hand.

"It really is beautiful " I say as I too take a look at it.

The lizard looked at Levines hand and jumped onto it.

Me and Levine were very amazed.

We never knew that a Dinosaur would come up to a human like that but I have to also put in mind that these Dinosaurs haven't seen people in years.

They definitely will not be use to us.

The lizard was crawling on Levine almost everywhere on him.

"Well this place is being good to us so far I hope I didn't jinx it" Levine says.

Levine takes a minute to look at Diego.

Diego was lighting a cigarette but Levine stopped him.

Diego looked very confused.

"What's wrong we are the only ones here" Diego complains.

Levine shakes his head.

"The smoke and smell could cause attention to the dinosaurs " Levine says.

Diego puts out the cigarette.

Just then we notice the little lizard run off in panic.

"This doesn't look good" I say as I look at Levine.

Levine lifts an eyebrow.

"How so?" He asks.

I was about to answer but then we heard giant footsteps coming this way.

We all remained still.

If we didn't make too much noise we shouldn't cause attention to ourselves.

I was getting more nervous with each step growing closer.

Diego was almost remaining still.

Just then it got very quiet and I don't mean school class room quiet I mean the quiet you get when you picture if nothing existed.

This made my nerves crawl badly.

I remained close to Levine just in case.

Diego was calming down slightly.

"It was nothing probably a herbi-Ahhhh!!!!!!!!" Diego says as he was being dragged away by a giant pair of jaws.

Me and Levine look in horror as our friend was being ripped apart the bones crunching, the blood pouring out into the ground.

And the dinosaur wasn't able to be seen properly but it lifted its head up and it had horns on the side of his top head.

"Run!" Levine yells and I don't waste time me and him are literally booking it fast and hard.

I was running out of breath fast.

This humid air doesn't help much either.

"That's is not a happy dinosaur!" Levine yells as we continue to run.

I was sweating like a bullet.

All I knew was that now I wish I was home.

I wanna be home safe in bed.

I don't want to die.

I want to live!
