I never wanted this night to end. Zeus was magical and his voice gave me a natural high, every vein vibrated with his elegant voice and my skin erupted into goosebumps when he winked at me from the stage. He was my Lightning God and no one was going to get in between us again.
Brooklyn stayed in the VIP section with us. Apparently, he overheard the conversation when I went to visit my mom. He's been looking for me until he tracked me down. He's an intelligent young man. I haven't had a full conversation with him but I already connected with him. He had this dim light in his eyes that he wasn't happy. I told him we'll talk after the concert.
I glanced around and Madeleine was enjoying every second of Zeus's voice. I know deep inside she still has a love for him but I think she understands that the past is gone. I no longer feel threatened by her. I'm glad she's enjoying his concert, she's had a rough life and I could see in her eyes she's healing slowly.
Johnny and Jaxon were enjoying themselves as well. Their hands never let go, their love is contagious and I hope one day I get that happy ending. I wouldn't mind having Zeus in my life forever because what we have is strong. I know we might have bumps in the road but we can fight this storm that keeps causing havoc because at the end of every storm there is a bright ray of light that will shine over us.
My dad left a bit early. He was tired and I don't blame him. The poor man doesn't get any rest. I'm trying my best to learn the ropes of all this so one day he can rest and leave me in charge. Amanda went backstage to check on Rhett and Maria disappeared. Maybe she left home, she was awkward at times but maybe it's her work. She's always busy doing something.
The concert was finally over and the arena started to get empty. Johnny and Jaxon said their goodbye and Madeleine also headed out. "I'll see you on Monday at work. I'm just going to relax in my small apartment. I need the rest for what's to come," she hugged me and waved to Brooklyn. He enjoyed the concert but he was very quiet as well.
"Come on, let's go backstage and you can meet Zeus and Rhett," he showed his perfect white teeth and followed me.
I opened the door and Zeus quickly stood up. He stopped for a moment and studied Brooklyn. "Ohh hi and you are?"
Brooklyn's eyes aligned with mine. I nodded to let him know it was fine to tell Zeus. "Hi, my name is Brooklyn. I'm Beau's half-brother."
Zeus didn't think twice. He came closer and pulled him into a hug. "Beau is your brother. Regardless if you hardly know him. Beau is the best and you'll learn a lot from him."
I stood there enjoying how Zeus welcomed Brooklyn without even knowing him. I hardly know him and I feel so attached to him already. Zeus let him go as Brooklyn said hi to Rhett. I saw his cheeks get rosy. He reminded me of how I am, shy and quiet.
Rhett offered him a soda and some food. They started talking when Zeus came over and pulled me by the waist. "Hey you," his hair was a bit damp from sweating but his eyes glowed like tiny universes. He leaned down and pecked my lips. "I love you so much. I don't want us to fight anymore. I gave Kya a few words to think about and told Murdock to open his eyes."
