The Storm Keeps Building

I woke up with a nasty headache. I drank more than I was supposed to but Rhett took care of me. After the show, I told Rhett what happened and he believed me. I never thought I would run into her again. I mean, I knew I would eventually run into her but I didn't think she would go that far. Kya Walker, my ex-manager at Olympus Record came strolling through the hallway that night when I finished singing my turn. She had a couple of drinks from how she slurred her words.

I tried to push her away but she threw her whole body on me and latched her lips with mine, it was for a few seconds but that was enough for Beau to turn the hallway and catch the unthinkable. He didn't deserve to see that but it was just another fucken storm between us. I was so fed up with everyone fucking up my love life.

I pushed Kya away and ran towards Beau but of course, my other enemy had caught Beau. Murdock Cash, he's Kya's little puppet now. She fed him unwanted bullshit of me after I told her I'm signing with Empire Records. He had a year or two at Olympus but it never went well for him. His songs never made the top 50. I felt bad for the guy but Kya just jammed those negatives views about me. I tried to help him a couple of times but he would brush me off or tell me to mind my business so I just left it at that. He doesn't have a bad voice I just think he needs to leave Olympus Record.

I'm grateful for starting with them, they were my stepping stone but I needed a new challenge and expand my music to a much bigger record label and Empire was the spot for me.

I sat on the edge of my bed rubbing the temple of my head. I rubbed my eyes and then took a quick shower. I got into some casual clothes but my stomach was still upset. "Fuck what did I drink?" I walked to my drawer and saw the picture of me and Beau at the beach. His beautiful smile shined as he hugged me while on top of my back. Why didn't I see this before? He always loved me; he didn't have to tell me, it was all in his eyes.

I dragged myself out of my bedroom and into the kitchen, that's when I saw Rhett sitting on the couch with his eyes glued to the television. "Zeus, hmm you're not going to like what's showing on the news," I walked quickly to see the image and my jaw dropped.

"Zeus Storm violently grabbed Murdock Cash from his shirt while Beau Knight, son of Markus Empire, watched from the side. We don't have many details but Kya Walker, ex-manager of Zeus Storm, spoke to Murdock Cash. We will have details later on tonight."

"Fuck! She's going to spit fire on me," I was livid. I fisted my hand as my pulse violently vibrated throughout my body then I suddenly calmed down. "I need to warn Beau before more chaos happens," I ran to my room and picked up my phone. It rang a few times as I got impatient. "Pick up damnit."

"Hello." He sounded like he just woke up.

"Babe, whatever you do, don't panic," it was silent for a few seconds and then I heard him take a deep breath.

"Zeus I still need time, you hurt me," his voice choked and that broke me. I never wanted to hurt him but he was being stubborn. I don't blame him but I needed him to hear me out.
