He paid for the Uber and I stood on the sidewalk. The sun beamed so brightly that I had to squint my eyes. Damn, I should've worn sunglasses like Zeus. I must say he looks damn good in sunglasses and a black cap. He had on a matching leather jacket like the one he gave me and perfectly fitted black jeans with a black V neck, hot damn he looked delicious. Even though the hot temperature sunburned my skin, there was a cold front that gently grazed my cheeks.

I was trying to forget when he asked about my parents. I didn't want to impose on his life, he was famous, why would he drop everything just to come to a funeral? My parents loved him. He was like a son they never had. He never judged us when he came over to my house.

My parents weren't wealthy like his. They worked in a canned food factory. My mom packed the cans in boxes and my dad was mostly on a forklift moving pallets around in the factory. They didn't make much money but we were happy with having food in the refrigerator and a cozy home to come to.

My heart soften when he came towards me. He didn't push the subject of my parents. I'll talk to him more about it when the time is right. "Alright, nobody has recognized me so these sunglasses and cap are working," damn his aftershave smells so damn good.

I chuckled and we headed down to the pier. The waves crashed smoothly on the beach while a few people walked on the sand. The air was lightly filled with the salty mist of the ocean. I saw the Ferris wheel going around and the roller coaster making its way around the small amusement park. It was like the first time we met. He treated me to all the games and bought me pizza. I had very little money that day. My dad tried giving me five dollars but I knew we needed that for at least a gallon of milk.

"So I'm treating you this time. I got a big tip last night so I'm splurging today," I saw a curve form on his luscious lips.

"Ohh really, in that case, I want all the teddy bears," he joked. He made me feel like I was 16 again. He never judged me or pitied me. I was lost these past two years but he slowly mended some of those wounds with his presence.

"You'll have to earn them," we walked into the arcade and I changed some bills into coins. I handed him a handful and we started to play arcade games. We played some hoops which he beat me and then went to play air hockey, which I sucked at too.

"You're still bad at this," he laughed. I wanted to see his damn eyes but for some reason, I knew they were glowing just like his smile.

"I've always been terrible at sports. I barely passed gym class," I was surprised when he ended up in the same gym class as me our sophomore year, that's when I gave him the X-men shirt I bought him. He gave me the courage to participate in running around the track field.
