A few months have passed and everything has been running smoothly in my life, our life. Zeus proposed to me and I couldn't be happier in my entire life. My best friends, my lover, and now my fiancé. Who would've known our friendship blossomed into marriage. Zeus has almost recovered but had to take it easy. He healed quite fast considering he broke three ribs but I never let him do anything strenuous. My leg was never going to be the same. I still have a limp. I went to the doctor and I had some nerve damage. I had a mild surgery, the doctor said it will take some time for my leg to be back to normal but all I needed was Zeus. He took care of me when my leg would have sharp pain. I liked him not being so busy but I know he was ready to go back on tour.
He was getting dressed as I leaned on the balcony. The sun was slowly descending on the horizon. The orange and purple sky were magical as the stars started to become visible. I moved my wedding ring back and forth as the diamond gleamed like showering stars. My heart raced faster. I was going to marry my best friend. I still couldn't believe it.
"Mmm," his hands wrapped around my waist as he pecked my cheek. His masculine aftershave invaded my nostrils. He finally shaved his beard. His face was like a movie star but I prefer him with a bit of scruff. "Ready to go, baby?" He pulled me closer to him as I rested my head on his chest.
"Just a couple of minutes like this."
"Anything for you, babe."
Then that tragic night came back to mind. I never asked him how he escaped the zip ties. "Zeus?"
"Yeah."
"How did you escape those cable ties that night?" he took a deep breath and kissed my cheek.
"My dad always wanted me to know how to defend myself. Regardless of me being a man. He said there are crazy people in the world and I was fast becoming famous. After my singing classes, I would take self-defense classes. I never told you because it was just for a bit. Now I'm thankful I learned how to escape zip ties," he explained that with enough force and movement on the zip ties that they would break. Now I know why he has scars on his wrists. "I wasn't going to let her kill or hurt you."
"I love you so much, Zeus."
"And I'll always love you, forever."
We took in the constellation of stars that formed right in front of us. We were supposed to be at a reunion dinner but we decided to take a bit more time for ourselves. We didn't say much because our love has grown beyond this planet, galaxy, and universe. We had a future ahead of us, maybe a family.

We got seated at a huge table at Diamonds restaurant. I called my old manager, Margo, accommodated a large party. Zeus and I wanted a close dinner with the people that mattered to us most. Everyone was here except his mother. Zeus didn't want her to come but I had a surprise for him.
