An Unexpected Storm

I couldn't hold a grudge, even though Madeleine was one of the main reasons I lost Zeus, she had a hard past. Her words were a cry of agony as her eyes were still recovering from a painful addiction. I don't know what it's like to be an addict but her story touched me, even the audience. Everyone listened silently at how she admitted to being a drug addict. I would have never thought she would go down that path. She was beautiful and popular but never judge a book by its cover because deep inside maybe her life wasn't perfect. 

Zeus had whispered in my ear if he could help Madeleine when she choked on stage. My heart will never hate someone and they had a history together. It was great to see how Zeus gave her the courage to speak. He was for sure my Lightning God.

My dad and Rhett went to network while Zeus wanted to get some closure of what happened in the past. "Babe, I don't think it's the time to bring up the past," I told him as we walked backstage to where Madeleine had disappeared to.

"I know but I want to close this once and for all. She's going to be close to us again and I don't want any vendettas at all. You are the one I want," he turned around and pulled me closer to him. His lips lightly touched mine.

"You are the one I want as well but I don't think it's the time," then I heard shouting from one of the doors.

"Get out before I call security," I think that was Madeleine.

We slowly got closer as we approached the door. Zeus put his finger on his lips. "Is that how you greet an old friend?" It sounded like another woman.

"Ohh you know you want this. I saw how your body reacted just now."

I scrunched my brow as Zeus and I tried to decipher what was going on. "Just go, Olympia. I'm done with that life," I could hear Madeleine's voice crack.

"Just one line and you'll feel better," once this woman said that Zeus stormed in like a bull.

"I think she told you to leave or else I'll kick you out myself," I followed Zeus as he walked towards this beautiful woman. She quickly put something in her clutch and smirked at Zeus.

"The mighty Zeus Storm, storming in to help a helpless soul," she giggled. "Aren't you handsome. Madeleine told me about you. She couldn't stop talking about you," she walked closer to Zeus as her hand went slowly down his chest.

"Hey!" I didn't know what came over me. I walked closer and pulled him away.

"Ohh wow, is this how you're swinging these days. No wonder you dumped Madeleine. Now it all makes sense. You dumped Madeleine so you can be free in your new lifestyle," her eyes were filled with poison, every word she spoke was lathered with evil. "I don't care if you're gay. I think it's quite hot."

"Get out before I drag you out," Zeus said slowly. His hand slowly went into a fist and his jaw clenched with anger. Olympia glanced at me as she smirked. She was pure evil. She walked past Zeus and then me.

"Ohh Maddy, you know where to find me if you ever want to let loose," I glanced at Madeleine who looked like she was going to pass out. I walked towards her and grabbed her hand.

"Madeleine you're strong, don't listen to her," she gripped my hand and pulled me into a hug.

I heard the door shut as Madeleine let out a loud cry. "Beau I'm so sorry. I truly am. I never should have told you what I did in high school. I was insecure," she cried into my chest. I rubbed her back and pulled her to a nearby couch.

"Fucken bitch," I heard Zeus say.

He sat on the other side of Madeleine who was shaking and buried in my chest. "We all make mistakes, Madeleine," I whispered in her ear.
