Billy whirled around to see Dr. Collingwood standing and propping herself up against the wall. Her face was twisted into a snarl, accentuated by her scarred eye. The scar itself was flushed red. The sinews in her neck were standing out like waxed rope.

She howled with rage and lunged at the Chaos soldier, punching him right in the face with enough force to crack his visor and tearing off his helmet, then beating him, snarling all the while about how she was going to kill him. It made Billy almost feel sorry for the guy. Almost.

Dr. Collingwood shoved the man over and began punching him in the face repeatedly, even though he was already unconscious. Lawrence and Thomas managed to drag her off of him before she could attract the attention of other Chaos soldiers. The man lay still as they left.

Charlie paced about the room worriedly. Dr. Collingwood had to be taken to the hospital wing for the bullet wound in her leg. Lawrence had told a few of the MTFs about her outburst. Earlier he had heard Molly call out to John weakly.

"John... are you alright?"

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine."

He had almost cried when he heard her say that. Even though she was injured badly, all she could think of was John, even though missing an eye - or both eyes - for him was a trivial injury, if a very painful one.

"Charlie?" He could hear Simon walking up to him.

"Yes?"

"Dr. Collingwood's fine, apparently. The bullet went straight through her leg."

"Will she still be able to walk?"

"Yes, but likely with a limp."

Charlie sighed in relief. "I-"

"At least it's better than her being six feet underground," Billy grumbled.

"Destiny ain't done treating her like a chew toy," Eddie growled.

John was silent.
