Billy cursed under his breath as he ran through the facility, doing his best to avoid the notice of the Chaos Insurgency soldiers. He wished he had John's ability of knowing where people were. His footsteps slowed as he heard a gunshot and someone cried out.

Please don't let them find me, please don't let them find me, please don't let them find me, please don't let them find me...

Dr. Collingwood peeked around the corner. No one was there. Good.

She ran down the corridor, trying to keep her footsteps as light as possible.

A gunshot rang out behind her. Something pierced straight through her leg and it buckled under her. Before she could even begin to process what was happening, cuffs were slapped onto her wrists and a gag was tied around her mouth. A Chaos Insurgency soldier stood above her, while a couple others were pouring out from a room behind them.

"Come on, Evan, can't you ever do something stealthily? There are anomalies here, for God's sake!"

The Chaos soldier above her turned around. His voice sounded sheepish. "Oh, uh... sorry."

Billy's lip curled as he listened to the two speak. Well, you just got the attention of one of them.

The lights above flickered.

"Ah, crap," growled a soldier. "Power outage? We'll never get outta here!"

Dr. Collingwood thought she spied a dark figure standing behind the group of Chaos soldiers when the lights flickered again. The lights then just shut off and a tall, stout person rounded the corner behind them.

One of the soldiers called out to it. "Do you know a way out? This place is like a maze."

It didn't answer. Instead it just stopped, standing just far away enough to be hard to see.

"Uh, dude? Say something, please? You're creepin' me out."

No answer.

Instead, a pair of tiny, glowing red pinpricks appeared on the figure's face where its eyes should be.

The soldier standing above her screamed and bolted while the rest began firing. The figure leapt at the soldiers, revealing a set of five sharp claws on each of its hands. In a few minutes all the soldiers had been torn into shreds except for the one that had run away. The figure turned towards her and the lights flicked back on.

It was Billy. But he looked... different. His normally dark brown fur had turned black as pitch and the paler brown fur on his face was bone-white. His claws looked longer than normal and his entire body seemed to glitch slightly. But the most drastic change was his eyes. They had turned into endless black pits, with a red pinprick in the middle.

He clutched his head and his entire body spasmed, and he seemed to "glitch" back to normal.
