I knew that this day would come when I am ready to get married and allow that man to meet my mother but I have never expected it to be so soon, a few weeks shy of my 25th birthday and I am already bringing a man to meet his future mother-in-law.

I had thought of this once when I am still dating Cha Eunwoo and thought that my mother would like me because we dated each other for 5 years and marriage is definitely part of our package but I had already disappointed her once with me breaking up with Cha Eunwoo and she doesn't trust me and my taste in men anymore.

So I had made up my mind to never bring up the topic of marriage to her and allow myself to be single for as long as possible so that she would somehow keep her mouth and then find a guy for me herself, but never did I know that a certain Mr Bang would appear in my life, bringing his 3 children along with me and we are now going to my mother's place to get her approval.

Bang Yongguk is so strict that all of his children are so afraid of him except for Sena, maybe she is his first child and he treats her like a queen and that had made Sena gain the power to do whatever she wants to her father and she is now my partner in crime because I realized how similar the both of us are.

Bang Yongguk is also someone who is so accomplished in his career that he is already a CEO by the age of 30 and he is making a lot of money, that is something that my mother would like and he is 10 years older than me which means that he would be more mature than me both in age and mindset. And my mother likes this kind of a person but you will never know until she meets Bang Yongguk, she might even dislike the fact that he is a divorced man with 3 kids. 

"Yiyeong Omma... You're anxious, I can see that on your face." SeJeong says to me.

"My mother is a very fierce person and she might not like that we are visiting her without telling her and I am bringing all of you as well." I sighed. "It is either life or death for all of us today."

I go up to the front of the house and I knocked on the door, I know that my mother is in today because she is always at home and even if she is not in, she would be around town just buying flowers for her lovely house.
The door opens and she appears behind it, frowning as soon as she sees me.

"I see that you have finally decided to come back, did they kick you out because you ran out of money to pay for rent?" And then she looked at Mr Bang and the kids. "Did you come to get rid of me? Or are you here to tell me that you are getting married?"

How does she even know that? I have not even said anything to her and she already knew everything, did anyone tell on her? "Omma, where did you get this information from? Did you hire anyone to spy on me?"

She sighed. "Do I look like I have the time to do all of that?" She looked around. "Which one of the kids is Bang Sena? I want to know why are you so insistent on wanting my daughter to marry your father."

All of them pointed out Sena to my mother and I let out a sigh, no wonder she was so insistent on wanting me to meet my mother and even bringing all of them along. Did she happen to hack my phone? "Isn't it obvious that it is a girl's name?" She crossed her arms at her.

"So it is you, you little brat." My mother said to her. "Come in first, I don't want the neighbours that I am having so many people over at my place."

We entered the house and the kids are looking around, feeling kind of comfortable because my mother loves flowers and she buys a lot of them to make bouquets of them and put them in vases and it can be found at every corner of the house. "And who is the father?" She asked again.

"I am, Mrs Han." Mr Bang said to my mother, looking around cautiously in case there is a trap for him to take it.

"Oh, I didn't expect my daughter to be marrying someone like you. What do you even do for a living? And with 3 kids, what do you even do to have 3 kids in your custody? What did you do to your ex-wife?" My mother can be a little too blunt at times and I always have to remind her to tone it down a little.

I turned towards SeJeong. "There is a convenience store a few minutes away from here, take Sehyun with you for a while and come back at dinnertime." The two children should stay out of this, it is not they can even do anything to convince my mother.

After the children are gone, my mother made her way to the kitchen and I glared at Sena for making all of this happen and the fact that she already told my mother of our visit. "I had to show your mother that my father is the best candidate to be your husband, it is the best that I can do for my mother." She held my hands.

My mother comes back to the living room with 3 glasses of water, I don't know if any of the glasses were spiked with anything. "Your father is the best candidate? Give me 10 reasons why." My mother crossed her arms at her future granddaughter. "If you can't, better prepare yourself because I won't let you get your way and your father can't ever get married to anyone again."
