I paced around my bedroom that I am in, looking anxious and my hands clasped really tightly. My boss will definitely not like what I am going to say to them later, I pondered over the matter earlier that Sehyun's childcare teacher told me earlier.

His kindergarten has a family activity day and they would organise a lot of family-friendly activities and the child and their parents will participate in those activities together to earn points and those points can be used to win the first prize, those proactive parents will definitely do their very best just to get the first prize to prove that they are the loveliest family ever.

I would have just told the truth to his childcare teacher that I am just his babysitter and I am not his mother, I am also not married to his father but it would hurt Sehyun. When his childcare teacher notified me that there will be a family activity day that is happening this weekend, he was so excited about it as if he was waiting for this day to come for a very long time, but the thing is that I am not his mother and not married to his father which means that we are not a family at all.

But he was so happy about it and readily told his childcare teacher that we will attend the family day event without me even telling the teacher, and now I can't tell the childcare teacher that I am just his babysitter and we are not attending it because it would be extremely awkward for me and Mr Bang to act as a couple just for that day. It is not like I am in love with him or harbour any feelings for him, I am just the babysitter that he hired and we are not close at all, we didn't even have a deep conversation with each other either.

All we have ever talked about is telling him that I have arrived at work and when I get off work or any emergency that involves any of the children but so far things have been going smoothly and I have nothing much to report to him, and he has nothing much to say to me either.

And now I am going to beg him to come with me to accompany Sehyun for his family day event, and I don't even know how he is going to react at all. Based on his personality, he would reject my idea straight away and he would fire me as well for doing something that I shouldn't be doing or he will just go along with it and make Sehyun happy with it, that is what he wanted but I doubt that he would do that.

No adult man would do that for his own son, it might be a great thing for Sehyun because his dream would come true to see his second mother and his father be at the family day event with him but it is not a great thing for the two of us because we don't even love each other. And Mr Bang probably has work to do on that day even though it is a Saturday, he still goes to work on weekends and he never takes a day off even though he should be.

No one works as hard as Mr Bang but he is doing all of that for his family, he wanted his family to live comfortably now that he is the only one that is providing for the family even though his ex-wife is paying child support to all of the children every single month,  it is not the same compared to staying married and paying for the expenses. I wonder if he still hates his ex-wife for leaving him, he would definitely hate her for betraying his love for him and pretending that the years in their marriage didn't happen at all and she abandoned her children, especially Sehyun who is still a toddler and he is lacking love from his own mother who left his father a year ago.

I wouldn't even be here if their mother is still here with them... They wouldn't have known me if their parents are still happily married to each other but things happen, things had happened the way they are and so I am here to take care of her children that she failed to take care. Even if Mr Bang had told her to stay away from the children, she would've still tried to see the children secretly like what her elder son SeJeong is doing. Not that I am insulting her but it is the truth, only a heartless woman would do that to their own children.

I heard a knock on the door that startled me, I was expecting him to be at the door as soon as he is done with fulfilling his needs but I had not expected that it would be this soon. It only has been 20 minutes since he got off work and he is already home, that is what a workaholic is, they go back and forth from work and home and they don't go anywhere other than the two places mentioned above.

I opened the door for him and he was dressed in his pyjamas, not the matching set type but the casual T-shirt and shorts combo. "What do you want to talk to me about?" He asked me as soon as he is in my apartment. "How are the children doing? Are you getting used to it already?"

"Mr Bang, actually I didn't invite you here to talk about it. It is about Sehyun and it involves the two of us as well, his kindergarten is organizing a family day event and we are required to attend the event."

"We don't need to attend the event, we are not even a couple." He told me.  "Haven't you told the childcare teacher about that?"

"I tried to but Sehyun is there when the teacher told me about it, he was really looking forward to it and he told the teacher that we will definitely attend the event. So there is no choice but to ask you to take a day off so that you could be there for Sehyun."

He stands in his position, thinking hard for a few seconds before he nods. "Alright then, if it is for Sehyun's happiness, I will be glad to take a day off and be there for Sehyun as his father." He looked at me. "And you could be Sehyun's mother for one day, that is what Sehyun wanted as well."

I nodded. "Thank you for agreeing to this, Mr Bang." He came close to me and patted me on the back.

"It is going to be fine, it is just a family day event and everything will go back to normal after that but Sehyun will always remember that you were there for him as his one-day mother." That made me my heart pound once again, like how he did the first time that we met each other on the road where he saved me from getting hit by a car.
