I came back to my own apartment first after my morning chats with my best friend Kim Jisoo, it was great chatting with her after such a long time and I can't believe that it has been nearly 5 years ever since I graduated from university. And I was very shocked at how fast her life accelerated while I am back at square one with no boyfriend and no job, with a temporary babysitting job that is going to end in 2 weeks.
I have asked her to recommend me any jobs from her side and she promised that she would let me know about it, I can't possibly live the next few months of my life without a job, it is nearly impossible to live in an apartment like this when I don't even have a job. I would have to kill myself if that really happens, this is what happens when you only have one plan and it is on the verge of failing.
I placed down my belongings before going next door where my workplace is at, I don't leave any of my things over at my workplace, it is unprofessional to do that and it would make Mr Bang think that I am an untidy and dirty person, I can't possibly allow him to think about me that way.
I usually won't come back so early from my shopping trip but I have someone to check up on, it is a task that was given to me by Mr Bang and he needs me to monitor Sena's condition every hour. She has fallen sick all of a sudden and we were about to go to school, she claimed that she had a fever but she didn't want to go to the hospital to get an IV drip so that she would better.
She told Mr Bang that she would stay at home to recuperate and I would be there to monitor her condition and report that to Mr Bang who is probably in a meeting right now, it would take hours for her fever to subside but I won't hesitate to bring her to the hospital if she doesn't get better, Mr Bang also told me to prepare for that.
It is tiring to take care of a child who is alright but it takes twice the amount of effort to take care of a sick child, they will whine a lot and they would need your attention a lot, they can't move around a lot so that they will order you around to get the things and they are extremely stubborn. I hope that Miss Bang SeNa is not as stubborn as all the children that I have seen in dramas and during my training way back in university.
I knocked on the door of her bedroom to check if she is awake and she responded by a faint groan and I opened the door, she was sitting up in her bed with her laptop on and it appears that she was watching a movie and I have interrupted her. "What is it?" She asked with an annoyed facial expression on her face.
"Do you need anything? I can get them for you." I asked her, my head still peeking out of the door because I didn't want to invade her privacy by going into her room directly.
"No need, just get out of my room and don't ever interrupt me ever again." She glared at me and that made me feel a little scared but I shouldn't feel scared by her antics, she is 8 years younger than me and I am the older one in this kind of a situation so that I shouldn't appear scared in front of her.
"Lunch is in 2 hours, call me if you want to have any snacks before lunch. Also, call me when you need to drink any water." And I closed the door, getting ready to prepare lunch for the children, I would have to prepare a separate menu for Sena who is currently ill and the normal menu for the other two children. It is not hard to make but it is tedious having to cook 2 different meals for the children but I have no choice, the palate for sick people has to be a little bland and healthy so that they would get better faster.
I added a few pieces of abalone into Sena's porridge after knowing that it is good for your body and it is best for a sick person, Sena would definitely feel obligated to say her thanks for me if I serve her something luxurious that the other kids don't get. I would have to get her to respect me someday, she is the only one out of the three that doesn't respect me as a human being and as their babysitter.
I served the porridge to her on a tray and she told me to leave it on the table, she will have it when she wants to. At least she showed me some signs that she is hungry and would eat the food that I specially prepared for her. The day goes by quickly and it was nearing dinner time, again I cooked porridge for SeNa again but this time with scallops hoping that she would like it.
I got up to her room and knocked on the door before coming in, she was asleep in her bed and the food was left untouched, I guess that she didn't really have an appetite after all. I placed the newly prepared porridge on the table and I walked over to the sleeping Sena and I tapped on her shoulder to wake her up.
But she doesn't get up at all, I tried calling her name but she doesn't respond to it at all. My heart started pounding very hard as I realized what could have happened to her and I touched her shoulder, trying to turn her over. She looked so pale and limp, I placed a finger over her nose to check if she is breathing fine.
I burst out of the door frantically, carrying SeNa on my back and the two children were shocked to see that sight, I placed SeJeong to take care of Sehyun for the time being and I made my way to the hospital as soon as possible, in order for Bang Sena to stay alive before it passes midnight.
