Chapter 24: The Date

Double Update!

Dream led George to the milkshake place. It was a pretty big shop and they had many different milkshakes.

"Which one do you want?" Dream asked handing George the menu.

"It's not like we're getting two so you can pick which one you want." George said giving the menu back.

"Well then we'll have to stick to the second most common one." Dream stated pointing to the chocolate flavour on the menu.

"I'm fine with that." George said and smiled. Dream went up to the counter to order the milkshake while George found a good table and sat there. Dream soon came back and sat opposite George.

"Okay so I ordered the chocolate milkshake. They said it's gonna take like 5 minutes. What should we do till then?" Dream asked.

"I don't know? What do normal people do on a date?" George asked with a laugh. Dream laughed along with him.

"Talk I guess? But we already do that all the time. And we pretty much know each other well. How about let's ask each other somethings that we don't know? And we don't have to answer if it's too personal." Dream said.

"Sure. You first." George said.

"Okay. What's your favourite restaurant?" Dream asked.

"I'll have to say McDonalds since that's literally all I eat when it comes to eating out." George said. "My turn. What's your dream job?"

"I haven't planned anything. I never even expected to live this further because of my parents. Now that I'm still alive I think I'll try YouTube. I also really like computers and technology and all the stuff." Dream said. George nodded and smiled softly.

"I want to become a computer programmer someday." George said.

"What does your dream house look like? This is random." Dream asked.

"My dream house is cozy and small, but not too small. It has enough space to fit all my stuff. I'll get a small house just outside the city so that it's quiet where I live." George said. Dream smiled. George was about to ask Dream a question as the waiter gave them their milkshake.

"Uh excuse me. Can I have another straw?" Dream asked. The waiter nodded and smiled. He came back with another straw. Dream gave one straw to George and held the other near his mouth.

"Go on. Tell me the taste." Dream said. George smiled and took a sip of the milkshake.

"It's good! Try it." George said. Dream took a sip from his straw.

"Mm. That's actually so good!" Dream said. George giggled and nodded.

"I know right! We are coming back here for another date." George said and took another sip of the milkshake. Dream nodded.

"Sure. Maybe we can get two milkshakes then." Dream said.

"No, one is better." George said with a slight blush. Dream giggled.

"Sure love." Dream said giggling.

"C'mon finish it quick. Your siblings are alone at home and we have to feed Patches!" George reminded. Dream quickly sipped the milkshake again with wide eyes.

"You're right. Go ahead and finish it." Dream said.

"I'm not having all of it! I don't think I can even have that much milkshake. Finish it with me." George said. They both started sipping at the same time. The milkshake was soon finished. They both went up to the counter and paid for it. Then they walked home with their shopping bags.
