Chapter 29: Forgiveness

I'm sick :'(. I have high fever and cold. My head hurts if I use phone too much. I have done the covid test and the result was negative so I think it's just a viral infection. I hope I'll be fine soon because I don't know if I'll be able to write the next chapter and post it tomorrow. Many apologies in advance :(

It was now night time and George had still not opened his door. Dream still sat outside the door swaying slightly to keep himself from dozing off. He was tired after all the crying he did.

Patches sat beside Dream also waiting for the door to open. George's mum had fed her some food in a disposable bowl. She was sleeping curled up next to Dream.

'This is all my fault. I've messed everything up. I can't do anything right.' Dream thought. He regretted everything, but again he had no other option because he didn't want George to get hurt.

"Hey Georgie. I hope you're asleep. You need rest after everything your brain has handled today. If you're not asleep, I just wanted to apologize again. I'm sorry Georgie." Dream whispered hoping George heard him if he were awake.

There was a soft knock from the other side of the door, then there was a small pause, followed by four knocks, followed by another pause, followed by three more knocks.

Then the door opened. Dream stood up from where he was sitting and looked at George. His eyes were red, just as his whole face was. His cheeks wet and swollen.

"I'm sorry George."
"I'm sorry Dream."

They both said at the same time and their eyes started watering again. Dream opened his arms and George hugged him tightly. They cried in each other's arms in the middle of the night.

"I'm so sorry George, I really am. All I wanted was that you didn't get hurt but I ended up hurting you in another way. I'm such an idiot." Dream said.

"Yes you are an idiot. But you're my idiot." George said and giggled as tears continued to stream down his face. "I'm sorry too. I should've listened to you. But seeing you kissing Eva just made me furious and I completely lost it."

"You don't have to apologize Georgie. Anyone in your situation would've done the same. We did the same when Karl pranked us. Don't apologize. I love you." Dream said.

"I love you too." George said. "Come inside now and go to sleep. It's pretty late already. We are sleeping till afternoon tomorrow."

"Sure Georgie." Dream giggled and kissed his cheek. They both walked into their bedroom with Patches following behind them. She immediately climbed on her bed and drifted off. Dream and George sat on bed looking at her.

"Look, our baby is asleep." George whispered. Dream smiled and nodded.

"You know, having a cat as our baby is better than having human babies." Dream said.

"True. Taking care of children is difficult." George said.

"Tell me about it. I raised Drista since she was like 3." Dream chuckled softly.

"Well atleast you know about how to be a good father. I know nothing and I'm gonna mess things up often." George giggled. "I'm happy with our cat baby."

"Me too." Dream said and sighed.

"We can maybe adopt in the future if you would want to." George said.

"Maybe. I have no plans of my future. All I wanna do is make you happy for the rest of my life." Dream said.

"Do you promise to always be with me?" George asked.

"Of course George. That's all I want." Dream answered. George kissed his nose.

"Do you maybe wanna discuss some things about today?" George asked slowly. Dream nodded and placed George on his lap.

"What do you wanna discuss love?" Dream asked.

"About the whole Eva thing. You do know she's gonna annoy us even more right?" George asked.

"Well she said she will leave us alone. I hope she does. If she doesn't we can always ignore her. Or better, murder her." Dream said.

"Woah woah woah maybe not the last option. Even if it sounds like the best option we still shouldn't." George said.

"I really wanna murder that bitch. I can't tolerate her in front of me." Dream said.

"I wanna too but let's calm down. It's Saturday tomorrow anyways so we won't have to deal with her." George said.

"Yeah. You wanna ask anything else? I'll answer everything and clear the doubts you might have." Dream said.

"Is this gonna affect our relationship in any way?" George asked looking up at Dream.

"No. The only way it will affect our relationship is by making it even stronger." Dream said and he leaned back on the bed hugging George.

They both laid on the bed and cuddled together. Dream peppered George's face with small kisses and trailed down to kiss George's neck.

"Am I allowed to leave marks Georgie?" Dream mumbled against George's skin. George nodded.

Dream slipped a hand into George's shirt gently caressing his chest as he sucked lightly on George's neck to create a hickey. George squirmed under his touch, being strangers with this feeling.

When Dream pulled away from George's neck he admired the painting he made in reds and purples upon the pale canvas of the brunette's neck. He kissed George on the lips still exploring his chest.

George wrapped his arms around Dream's neck and deepened the kiss. Dream's tongue flicked over his lips, asking for entrance. George opened his mouth and let his boyfriend explore it.

They were both enjoying it and didn't want to pull away. Unfortunately for them, oxygen wasn't on their side. They pulled away and panted heavily. George put his head on Dream's chest as Dream pulled his hand away from George's chest.

"I loved that, and I love you." George panted.

"I love you more." Dream said and kissed George's hair.

"No chance! I love you even more." George said.

"I love you more than however much you love me!" Dream said and giggled. He wrapped his arms around George's small frame and cuddled him as they both drifted off to sleep eventually.

As they cuddled together Patches had also managed to jump on the bed and sleep next to her owners. All three of them slept together like the happy family they were.
