Ch 21

A couple days pass

Alex's phone buzzes. It was a text from natasha

Nat: "hey i heard what happened... i was looking at security footage and found this"

She sends a video. It was of carol and Maddie from a couple days ago. Alex finishes watching the video

Alex: "she- she was telling the truth... carol was telling the truth"

She digs her face into her hands

Alex: "i screwed up... i screwed up badly. Fuck Alex"

Maria walks into the room

Maria: "hey i made dinner want some"

Alex: "i made a huge mistake mom"

Maria: "what do you mean?"

Alex: "carol was telling the truth... maddie did kiss her... carol was preventing maddie from coming in since I can't be around her because of everything...i screwed up badly"

She shows maria the video

Alex: "carol is never going to forgive me she's never going to forgive me"

She starts to cry

Maria: "hey... in a relationship there will always be fights. Even the perfect couple has fight. There is never a relationship where a couple doesn't fight at least once or twice"

Alex: lI said she cheated on me without letting her explain. I dont trust her mom and thats not good at all!"

Maria: "hey its not your fault that you cant trust people easily after what maddied did to you and because of me being a spy. Its okay to not trust people at times. Just know once you do apologize or forgive them"

Alex smiles

Alex: "thanks mom"

Maria: "now go and talk to carol"

Alex: "I will... thanks mom"

Alex leaves and heads back to the compound. She sees on the security camera's that carol is in the training room. Carol was using a punching bag

Carol: "how could i be so stupid!... i screwed up and now the person i love the most hates me!"

Carol accidentally uses her powers on the punching bag and it explodes

Carol: fuck...fucking hell n i hate my life...she was the only thing that made me happy and i lost her.. I lost her... and its all my fault"

Alex speaks up

Alex: "no its my fault"

Carol turns around and sees alex. She starts to unwrap the boxing tape on her hands

Carol: "I thought you were mad at me. What are you doing here"

Alex: "Tasha found some security footage about what happened with maddie... I'm sorry  that I-I didn't believe you. I  should have trusted you but i didnt i just rushed to conclusions"

Carol: "You know i would never cheat on you..."

Alex: "i know and I am stupid for not thinking about it or talking about it before I rushed to conclusions"

Alex starts to cry

Alex: "this is my fault"

Carol walks over to her and comforts her

Carol: "no it's not"

Alex: "yes it is!"

Carol: "We both played a role in the screw up..."

Carol tilts Alex's chin so she is looking up at her. She then kisses her

Alex: "I'm sorry..... I'm really sorry"

Carol: "it's okay love i understand"

Alex: "i don't deserve you"

Carol: "neither do i"

They hug and carol kisses Alex's temple
