Ch 16

With alex

Alex: "ms potts  i finished organizing the files. What would you like me to do next?"

Pepper: "do you mind making copies of this "

Alex: "of course not"

Alex's phone rings

Alex: "is it okay if i take this its from bucky"

Pepper: "it's okay, go ahead"

Alex answers the call

Alex: "hello"

Bucky: "alex you need to ge to the hospital now"

Alex: "what why?"

Bucky: "we were on a mission and carol, she got hurt"

Alex: "what?"

Bucky: "she's in critical condition"

Alex: "n-no... i'll be there right now"

Alex hangs up and starts to cry

Pepper: "alex what's wrong?"

Alex: "c-carol she's in the hospital"

Pepper: "what happened?"

Alex: "Something happened during the mission. I need to go to the hospital"

Pepper: "go hurry"

Alex gets to the hospital, sherushes into a room

Nat: "they had to take her into surgery"

Alex: "what happened Tasha?"

Nat: "she was fighting the target and got shot in the stomach"

Maria arrives

Maria: "did they say how she was?"

Bucky: "they had to do emergency surgery. She might fall into a coma though"

Alex starts to cry more.

Maria walks over to alex and hugs her

Maria: "it's going to be okay its going to be okay"

Alex: "i-I can't lose her i can't lose her"

Maria:  "you won't lose her"

Alex: "mom.. I"

Alex hugs Maria tighter

Alex: "I can't I can't lose her I can't"

Maria: "just breathe"

Natasha walks over and  hugs Alex

Nat: "she's a strong fighter"

They then hear the heart monitor make a noise indicating carol's heart stopped

Bucky: "oh no"

Natasha holds Alex closer and tighter to her

Maria: "come on carol,come on"

Bucky: "fight carol"

Maria: "fight for alex"

The heart monitor goes back to normal. Everyone sighs out of relief

Maria: "thank god"

Nat: "her heart went back to normal"

An hour later

Alex: "how long until we can see her?"

Nat: "soon probably"

Bucky: "so when will they know if she fell into a coma or not?"

Maria: "they won't know for another half an hour"

Alex: "please please be okay"

30 minutes later the doctor walks into the wait

Doctor: "are you four here for ms Danvers?"

Maria: "yes we are. how is she."

Doctor: "she is now stable but towards the end of surgery she slipped into a coma"

Alex dig her face into her hands

Nat: "when can we see her?"

Doctor: "now but only one person at a time"

Bucky: "go Alex"

Alex walks with the doctor to the room Carol was in

Doctor: "I'll give you some privacy"

He shuts the door and walks out

Alex walks over to carol and holds her hand

Alex: "please don't leave me... please i need you"

She starts to cry

Alex spends some time in the room with carol

Alex: "I love you babe"

She kisses carol's cheek and walks out

Maria: "Alex..."

she hugs Alex and Alex breaks down crying

Maria: "it's okay it's okay I'm right here"

Alex: "i can't lose her mom"

Maria: "you won't. you won't"
