A couple of days later

Lizzie: "mom aunty nat is here"

Alex: "okay Lizzie, be safe and have fun with her"

Lizzie: "I will. See you soon"

She leaves and Alex looks at her phone

Alex: "4:45. I should start making dinner"

She sighs

Alex: "hmmm what should I make... babe" 

Carol peeks her head out of her office

Carol: "yes love"

Alex: "what would you like for dinner?"

Carol: "hmm why don't we go out for dinner. Like we use to what do, you say"

Alex smiles

Alex: "sure"

2 hours later

Carol: "before we head home, I want to take you somewhere"

Alex: "okay"

Carol: "before we head to the place I want you to cover your eyes"

Alex:" what?"

Carol: "come on just cover your eyes"

Alex giggles

Alex: "fine, fine"

She covers her eyes with her hands

They drive for a bit

Carol: "okay we are here. Keep your eyes covered"

Alex: "I will I will"

Carol helps Alex out of the car

Alex: "can I uncover my eyes now?"

Carol: "not yet just a little longer"

Alex: "carol I love you but I swear to god if I fall you are dead"

Carol: "I'm not going to let you fall I promise you. I also know not to get you mad especially after what happened during training with sam a couple of years back"

Alex laughs

Alex: "how much longer?"

Carol: "almost... okay you can uncover your eyes"

Alex uncovered her eyes 

carol had taken Alex to a secluded park where they spent their first anniversary 

it was under a tree. there were little lanterns hanging from the tree and lights all around the blanket that was on the grass

Alex: "babe what's this?"

Carol: "I know I'm not going to be good at this so I'm just getting to the point. Alex, we've been together for years. I've lost track at that point because of all the things that have happened over the years and the amount of fun I have had with you. You brought so much joy into my life so.

She pulls out a ring from her jacket

carol: "Alex hill will you marry me"

Alex: "yes! Yes I'll marry you"

Carol places the ring on Alex's finger

They both kiss

Carol: "I now have another question for you..."

Alex: "yes?"

Carol: "will you marry me... right now"

Alex: "what?"

Carol: "will you marry me this very second"

Alex: "yes I will"

Someone walks over to the two of them

Then all of a sudden all their friends, both Marias (hill and Rambeau) and Lizzie walk over to them with chairs in their hands. They place the chairs down and start to watch

Time skip 20 minutes

Marriage officiant: "I now pronounce you wife and wife, you both now may kiss"

Carol and Alex kiss

Lizzie runs over and hugs Alex and carol

Lizzie: "yay you guys are finally married"

Alex: "I can't believe it"

Carol: "you are now my wife, I can't believe it" 

She kisses Alex again

All their friend congratulate them
