Hours later

Lizzie: "are you sure you are alright mom?"

Alex: "i am perfectly fine lizzie, no need to worry about me"

Maria and lizzie share a look

Lizzie: "mom, you know i don't need to read your mind to know that you are not alright"

Alex sighs

Alex: "i know lizzie, its just im going to need some time and i cant talk about it right now"

Maria: "why dont we go for a drive, that usually helps clear your mind"

Alex nods

Maria: "okay, lizzie grab a jacket and your shoes"

Lizzie nods and walks out of the room

Maria looks over at alex

Alex: "please mom, don't give me that look. I know what you are going to say"

Maria sighs

Maria: "I'm just worried about you. I know how much natasha meant to you, she was like your older sister. Trust me though. Banner and them will find a way to bring her back"

Alex nods

Alex: "i hope"

Maria walks over and hugs alex

A few moments later the door opens

Carol: "love I'm back and i have a surprise"

Alex looks up and sees Natasha. She runs over to natasha

Alex: "Tasha!"

She hugs natasha

Nat: "alex"

They both start to cry

maria: "how is this possible?"

Nat: "Steve returned the stone so I'm back"

Lizzie walks back into the room and sees alex hugging natahsa

Lizzie: "aunty nat"

Lizzie hugs natasah

Nat: "hey lizzie"

Lizzie: "how are you here?"

Carol: "when steve returned the stone so nat came back"

Alex: "i can't believe it, you are back"

A couple days pass

Carol: "love what do you think of this house?"

Alex: "thats nice, how far?"

Carol: "it's 20 minutes away from what's left of the compound"

Alex: "do you know when they are going to start rebuilding"

Carol: "tony said sometime next week"

Carol hugs and kisses alex

Carol: "ive missed you so much i know it didnt feel long for you but it felt like a million years for me"

Lizzie runs into the room

Lizzie: "mom, mom"

Carol: whats wrong lizzie

Alex: "is something going on"

Lizzie: "can we go see aunty nat today please"

Carol: "I'm not sure lizzie. We are trying to find somewhere to move in. maybe tomorrow"

Alex: "everything is going to be a bit different now. But we promise to keep you happy"

She hugs lizzie

A month passes

Alex is at the compound, waiting for carol to finish work

Tony walks into the livingroom

Tony: "hey alex"

Alex: "hey tony what's up?"

Tony: "i have a huge favor to ask"

Alex: "well what is it?"

Tony: "so bruce and i were upgrading the time machine and we need someone to test it"

Alex: "and you want me, why"

Tony: "Because everyone else is busy. Bruce and i need to be here controlling it"

Alex: "so what is the upgrades you did"

Tony: "well someone can travel to a period of time where they did not exist or their early life. We also upgraded the watches so that person can be undetected by those who are already in that point in time. Is this making any sense to you"

Alex: "a little"

Tony: "so will you do it?"

Alex: "sure under one condition, you let carol take a week off so we can spend time with lizzie"

Tony: "deal"
