Ch 23

A couple months later

Carol: "ready"

Alex: "almost hold on"

Alex walks out of the bathroom

Alex: "This is way too big for me. You are much taller than me so it doesn't fit right"

Carol laughs

Carol: "hold on hold on"

Carol walks over

Carol: "let me fix it"

Alex: "how are you going to fix the suit? It's not like its fixable in a blink of an eye"

Carol: "you do realize this was made by kree right, aliens . Their technology is way more advanced than anything here on earth"

She pressed the controls on the pad located on the forearm of the suit

Alex: "what are you-"

Carol: "just hold on"

Carol continues to press buttons

Carol: "and there"

She presses one more button and the suit fits alex

Alex: "what the heck"

Carol: "cool right"

Alex: "i don't know if i would say cool"

Carol laughs

Alex: "this alien stuff is really really weird"

Carol: "come on"

She takes alex's hand and they walk out into the field

Alex: "i don't know how i feel about this"

Carol: "you'll be fine i promise you love. I'm not going to let anything happen to you"

She kisses alex

Carol: "i'm never going to let you get hurt because it would kill me to see you hurt"

She kisses alex again

Carol: "ready now?"

Alex: "i don't know about this  babe"

Carol: "hey if you don't like this we can come back,  alright"

Alex: "okay"

She takes a deep breath

Carol wraps alex's arm's around her waist

Carol: "hold on tight. Whatever you do, don't let go of my waist"

Alex nods

Helmets form over their face. Carol flies them both into space

Alex: "i don't like this"

Carol: "we are almost there. Just a few more minutes"

Alex digs her face into carol's shoulder

They fly up to a spaceship

Carol: "we are here. Love you can open your eyes"

Alex: "no this is scary and freaking me out"

Carol: "it's okay"

They go in the spaceship

Carol: "okay we are inside and we are safe"

Carol gently squeezes Alex's hands

Carol: "look"

Alex looks around the ship

Alex: "this place is huge"

Carol: "the best part about this is the view look"

The windows opens

Alex: "awesome"

Carol: "this is where i worked before i joined the avengers"

Alex: "really"

Carol: "mhm"

Alex: "You are so lucky. Wait now that you live with us at the compound who stays here?"

Carol: "a friend of mine"

Something brushes up against alex's leg which makes her jump

Alex screams

Alex: "what the fuck!"

Carol: "hey goose"

She kneels down next to the cat and pets him

Alex: "that cat scared the shit out of me"

Carol laughs

She picks up goose

Carol: "this is goose. want to pet him?"

Alex: "i think im good. I'm not fond of cats"

Carol laughs again

Carol: "okay then"

She puts goose down and kisses alex

Carol: "come on let me show  you around"

Carol  shows alex around the ship

Alex: "this is way better than the compound. No annoying guys to annoy the shit out of you and it's very peaceful"

Carol: "it is a lot more peaceful up here but there is only so much you can do in here"

Alex: "do you ever miss is up here?"

Carol: "i do but like i said there is only so much you can do here"
