Ch 10

An hour later

Alex wakes up and she sits up

Alex in her head

Alex: "What the. Why am i in carol's room?...oh wait i forgot i came in here after i had that nightmare"

Carol wakes up

Carol: "Hey, you're finally awake... how did you sleep ?"

Alex: "better... thanks for letting me sleep in here with you"

Carol: "it's no problem"

Alex: "what time is it?"

Carol: "its um"

she sits up and looks at her phone 

Carol: "It's 8:45. Wait sh*t i have training in 15 minutes"

Carol jumps out of bed and runs to her closet grabbing her training clothes

Alex laughs

Alex: "i should head to my room... thanks for comforting me  last night"

Carol: " if something like that happens again, tell me"

A couple hours later.

Nat and wanda walk into alex's room

Alex looks up when she heard the door open

Alex: "can i just get some privacy please"

Wanda: "soo did you and carol sleep together"

Nat: "we saw you both in her bed together"

Alex: "What no, we did not sleep together. I had a nightmare and i went to carol. She asked if I wanted to lay down with her since I have a hard time falling asleep. So no. no i didn't sleep with her the way you mean"

Nat: "still though..."

Wanda: "you two would be a cute couple"

Alex: "shut up both of you"

She throws pillows at them

Alex: "now get out i need to change. I have to go somewhere"

They both leave.  Alex changes and walks to the gym where carol was training. Carol sees alex walk in

Carol: "hey whats up"

Alex: "can we talk... about yesterday"

Carol: "Oh yeah... I'm sorry about that.. I wanted to help. That man looked like he was making you really uncomfortable i-"

Alex kisses her  And Alex smiles

Alex: "i've had a huge crush on you since we first met"

Carol: "so have i"

She kisses alex

Carol: "will you go on a date with me alex?"

Alex: "of course"

Carol kisses alex again

Carol: "7 tonight... the restaurant across the street from the bookstore you like"

Alex: "sounds good"

At 7

Carol: "ready?"

Alex: "yes i am"

They have dinner. After dinner

Outside of the compound

Alex: "i had a great night carol even though it was shorter than we expected"

Carol: "So did i. Next time hopefully it can be longer. lets do this again next week"

Alex smiles

Alex: "sounds great"

Later

Carol and alex are hanging out in the field looking at the stars

Carol: "what's wrong?"

Alex: "nothing just sad our date got cut a little short since they needed help with some virus on the computers"

Carol thinks of something

Carol: "i'll take you on another day when you are free. No matter what it will be longer than this one"

Later on that night

In carol's room. She is having flashbacks of the time with starforce and the crash. She wakes up gasping for air

Carol: "none of it is real it's not happening it's not happening"

She calms her breathing and tries to go back to sleep but she can't. Carol decides to walk over to alex's bedroom. She opens the door and sees alex. She walks over to alex

Carol: "alex"

She tapped Alex's  shoulder

Alex wakes up.

Alex: "what's wrong?"

Carol: "can i sleep with you in here... i had some flashbacks and-"

Alex: "lay down"

She lifts up the blanket and Carol lays next to alex
