Ch 12

The next day

Alex: "hey mom"

Maria: "hey sweetheart. what's up?"

Alex: "i was wondering if you wanted to grab coffee later on"

Maria: "sure is 9 okay with you?"

Alex: "sounds good mom"

At 9

Alex: "so how was the mission mom?"

Maria: "it was good. It dragged on longer than expected but it was a success. How was your time these past couple of months?"

Alex: "it was good. I spent a lot of time with wanda, Natasha, and carol. And also i had work so nothing much changed"

Maria: "so tell me about you and carol"

Alex: "mom"

Maria laughs

Maria: "seriously though tell me about you both"

Alex:  "well it started when she kissed me at one of tony's parties"

Maria: "what?"

Alex: "yeah a man came up to me and was making me uncomfortable so she acted as if she was my girlfriend to get the guy to leave me alone"

Maria: "wow"

Alex: "Then later that night I had a dream about- about... i had a dream about maddie and i couldn't sleep so she said i could lay down with her. I ended up falling asleep"

They continue to talk

Maria: "out of everyone i never thought you would get with carol"

Alex: "mom"

Maria: "what?"

They both laugh

Maria: "I thought you would have ended with Wanda or Natasha"

Alex:"MOM!"

Maria laughs

Alex: "Wanda is my best friend and Natasha is like an older sister to me. So eww no"

Maria laughs again

Maria: "i am really happy that you found someone again who makes you happy"

Alex: "thanks mom"

Maria: "do you have work tomorrow?"

Alex: "yeah i do. I am honestly excited because we are planning a gala to raise money for charity"

Maria: "that sounds exciting"

Alex: "i am excited. We are almost done"

They continue to talk more

Maria: "i need to head to work. See you tonight bye"

Maria hugs alex

Alex: "bye mom"

Alex goes back to the compound

Peter: "hey alex"

Alex turns around

Alex: "hey peter. Don't you have school today?"

Peter: "i did but we got the day off after there was a fight near my school"

Alex: "fight like kids fighting or a villain hero fight?"

Peter: "villain hero fight"

Alex: "did tony go or who went?"

Peter: "it was natasha and wanda then i joined them but i got thrown into a bus"

Alex: "jeez peter how do you do this all the time?!?"

Peter and alex laugh

Alex: "anyways want to help me make lunch"

peter: "ooo sure what are we going to make?"

Alex: "burgers with a salad and fries"

Peter: "sure i'll help"

20 minutes later.

Alex is making the salad when someone hugs her from behind

Alex: "hi babe"

She giggles

Carol: "what are you making?"

Alex; I "am currently making a  salad. Peter is making the frys"

Carol kisses alex's cheek

Peter: "umm alex"

Alex turns to peter

Alex: "yes peter?"

Carol: "why is that smoking?"

Peter: "i may or may not have burned the fries"

Alex: "peter!"

5 minutes later

Alex: "Friday can you notify the team that lunch is ready"

FRIDAY: "oh course ms hill"
