3 months pass
Alex has healed. She's been going through speech and vocal therapy for the past 2 ½ months. It was a Saturday day and carol had the day off from work. Alex was in the kitchen making lunch when she sliced her hand open
Alex: "fuck"
She was about to grab a rag when she notices something. Her blood was blue
Alex drops the knife and screams. A few seconds later, Carol runs into the kitchen
Carol: "Alex love! What's wrong!?"
Alex looks at her hand
Carol notices Alex's hand is bleeding
Carol: "fuck"
Carol grabs a rag and warps Alex's hand
Alex: "c-carol why"
She coughs
Carol: "take your time"
Alex: "w-why is my blood b-blue"
Carol: "when you had your throat slit and lost a lot of blood there was a 50 50 chance of you waking up. Long story short we gave you some of my blood so you would be able to heal and wake up"
Alex; "why, why didn't you?"
She coughs
Carol: "hey take your time"
She hands Alex a glass of water
Alex: "thanks"
She takes a sip of her water and then continues to talk
Alex: "why didn't you tell me?"
Carol: "I don't know, I should have. I'm sorry"
She pulls Alex into a hug
Carol: "I'm sorry I should have told you
Lizzie: "mom is everything okay?"
Carol: "We are fine Lizzie"
Lizzie looks at the rag that is wrapped around Alex's hand which now had blue seeping through it
Lizzie: "mom are you okay?"
Alex: "I'm fine Lizzie, I just cut myself, that's all"
Carol: "I'll get the first aid kit"
She walks off
Lizzie: "are you sure you are okay mom?"
Alex: "I swear I'm fine"
Carol walks back in with the first aid kit
An hour later
Carol walks into the office where alex was working
Carol: "hey love"
She kisses alex's cheek
Alex: "hey"
Carol: "what's wrong?"
Alex: "nothing"
She sighs
Carol: "what are you working on?"
Alex: "something for work or at least I'm trying to"
Carol pulls a chair over and sits next to alex
Carol: "what do you mean you are trying to work on something for work?"
Alex: "i don't know, i can't focus"
Carol: "well what are you trying to do for work?"
Alex: "I'm writing up this report pepper asked me to do. It's stocks of this past month and a half"
