Ch 35

2 years pass

Mostly everyone moved out of the compound except carol and natasha

Carol: "come on lizzie time for bed"

Lizzie: "but momma"

Carol: "it's getting late and you have school"

Lizze: "fine"

Lizzie gets in bed

Carol: "good night lizzie"

Lizzie: "night night momma... momma"

Carol: "yes sweetheart?"

Lizzie: "my classmate  was talking about their daddy. do i have a daddy... where is he?"

Carol goes quiet for a moment

Carol: "you know i don't like boys... you use to have another  mommy as well. You loved her so much"

Lizzie: "where did she go?"

Carol: "she had to go away for a while"

Lizzie: "when is she coming home?"

Carol: "i don't know lizzie"

She kisses lizzie's forehead again

Carol: "good night lizzie"

Lizzie: "night momma0

Carol shuts the door after she walks out. She starts to cry

Nat: "carol?? What's wrong?"

carol: "shes shes forgetting alex.... Shes forgetting alex"

Nat: "hey"

She hugs carol

Carol: "i, i tried everything so that she remembers her but nothing is working...i would do anything to get her back... i just want to hold her one more time"

Nat: "i know, I know... i want to hug her one more time as well"

Carol: "i don't want to lizzie to forget her i"

She cries more and Natasha hugs her tighter

Nat: "i'll help you make sure she doesn't forget alex"

Carol: "really"

Nat: "of course. Alex was like a little sister to me and i will do whatever to help keep her family together"

Carol: "thank you natasha"

A couple of days pass

Carol is looking at a photo of her and alex

Many memories are replaying in her head

Nat: "hey are you okay whats wrong?"

Carol wipes away her tears

Carol: "nothing i was just looking at some photos of me and alex..."

Nat: "you both look really happy together right there"

Carol: "yeah but after that photo was taken,  she was mad at me because i pushed her into the ocean"

Natasha laughs

Nat: "sounds like her"

Carol pauses

Carol: "i'll be in my office if you need me"

Later

Lizzie: "aunty nat"

Nat: "hey Lizzie how was school?"

Lizzie: "it was good i made something for momma"

Nat; "can i see?"

Lizzie shows Natasha a drawing she made

Nat: "i love it. She will love it"

Carol: "hey lizzie i'm sorry i couldn't pick you up i got busy"

Lizzie: "hi momma"

Carol kisses lizzie's forehead

Lizzie: "i made this for you"

Carol: "I love it so much thank you star.  Thank you. Are you ready to train with your powers"

Lizzie nods

A couple hours later

Carol; "almost done lizzie"

Nat: "what is you momma and i thinking about?"

Lizzie thinks hard

Lizzie: "aunty nat you are thinking about what our making for dinner and momma"

Nat: "good job lizzie what about your mom"

lizzie: ".. Momma is thinking about a girl... who is she?"
