THOUGH, IT WASN'T VERY LONG BEFORE THEY CAME OUT OF THE MALL AGAIN, BUT WITH THREE LESS PEOPLE. Nancy, Jonathan, Lucas and Will ran towards the Wheeler's vehicle, as fast as they could.
The Mind Flayer had arrived, as Lila and Billy had known their new location. She had told her that she would-- correction, they would kill Eleven, even if it meant killing her friends or the whole world.
As Jonathan went back to the hood, Billy revved the engine for what felt like the thousandth time that night. Lila glanced at him as he silently snarled, revving it louder. She looked back at the targets in front of them.
The couple inaudibly talked in some agreement before Nancy walked round to the front of the car, a small object in hand which she couldn't tell what it was. She aimed it straight at them.
He revved it one last time, before he stepped on the gas. The tires screeched, and smoke filled the air behind them as it advanced towards the victims.
Lila didn't have her seatbelt on, and you know what they say. Wear your seatbelt.
Nancy fired a shot, no warning. Luckily, it hit the centre of the windshield, not harming either of the two. She fired another one, and it ricocheted.
Within the space of about two seconds, Nancy had fired three more. One had made its way to exactly where Lila was positioned, and the window cracked slightly. Again, and a hole was forced though it. She bent down slightly in her seat, attempting to shield herself, but Billy was more focused on driving than the bullets.
Slowly, she looked up. A sharp pain burst through her shoulder. She hissed quietly, rubbing her palm over it, but it only seemed to make it worse. "Billy-"
She was jerked to the side violently. Her head rocked back and forth as the car spun multiple times. Her ears rung as her eyes searched for something to focus on, but she couldn't.
Her vision was blurry, and pain erupted around her shoulder and neck. She groaned, trying to get herself to move, but she couldn't.
Looking around, her eyes found a blurred yellow-- car? It looked like it anyway, but she found her vision quickly fading when her feet got hot. Like a flame.
It spread, almost reaching the top of her knees, but there was nothing she could do about it as the world faded out from her.
