It's Vegas Baby!

Spencer POV

For this to be my first time in Vegas, I gotta say, it's pretty lit, and I'm excited to hang with everyone that came, with the exception of my ex-girlfriend Layla and the old-married couple that is my brother J and sis Simone. We are all here to celebrate my girl Coop, and her music accomplishments, her first performance out of state. & I couldn't be more proud of her. As happy as I am to see her perform, I can't help but wonder.... what's my other best friend doing at the moment? Not gone lie, being that we've spent literally every day together this summer, being here without her feels.... weird. I miss her, I miss her a lot. Guess that can explain why I lied to Layla about calling my mom when I really just wanted to talk to Liv. I set my red cup on the nightstand and dialed her up as I laid across the sofa king in my suite. Though it wasn't needed, I really appreciated Layla's dad for hooking us up like this with the rooms and stuff for the hotel.

Back in Cali, Liv was perfecting her 6th drawing of the day, as a distraction from the loneliness crepting inside of her. Nobody was home, parents were out, Jordan went to Vegas with the rest of the crew and Liv opted out of the trip, despite how many times Spencer tried to convince her to come.

Liv's POV:

I have to say, I don't get why he wanted me to go so badly. Don't get me wrong, it's Vegas so of course it would've been nice, but I mean he's got Layla and everyone else to keep him busy, and I've seen enough of Simone and my brother to last a lifetime, all in love and what not, must be nice. Though, I do kinda...okay I definitely miss him, but it's only cuz we spent everyday together since summer began, it feels different not having him around, but that's all it is, right?

Her inner thoughts were interrupted by the buzzing on her desk. She glanced over seeing a picture of Spencer kissing her cheek with her eyes closed smiling pop up on the screen. She wasn't sure why, but she picked up right away.

"Please tell me, I'm your one phone call from jail" She could hear Spencer bust out laughing with that statement. His voice made her heart thump slowly.

"Nah girl, but you might be JJ's in a couple of hours"

"Welp thanks for the heads up, turning off my phone for the rest of the night, soooo, you having a good time?" She asked him as he took an seat on the white couch by the window in his suite holding the phone close to his ear clearing his throat.

"Uhmm yeah, it's aight, but I still think you should've come"

"Why so I can day drink wit JJ and watch Jordan and Simone play kissy-face? Mmm hard pass, besides, you probably wouldn't want a third wheel hanging around while you put the moves on Laylaa?" She joked, only half-way, though deep down she wanted to be wrong. Olivia heard a loud sigh from the other side of the call.

"Oh gosh not you too, look ain't nobody putting no moves on anyone, Layla and I ain't together anyway"

"I knooow, but come on, you both want to be right? It was totally obvious before she left for the summer, this weekend could...you know be your chance" She encouraged him while his side of the line remained unusually quiet. Why is everyone so focused on me and Layla? I mean I care about her but get back together, again? I just don't see that right now.

"I'm sorry but did I miss the part where you baker twins became pimps?" Liv laughed out loud with the sweet echo of her voice ringing in Spencer's ear.

"Don't shoot the messenger, but you know I'm right"

"Maybe, something just feels off but either way it doesn't matter, I won't get to see much of her since she's gonna be with coop all day tomorrow prepping for the show...so" Olivia smiled on the inside knowing this but felt a twinge of guilt at the same time. Her reasoning behind pushing Spencer to get back with Layla had everything to do with her and nothing about Layla or how she may be feeling about Spencer. Selfish maybe, but it was the truth.
