Spencer scrolled through his contacts as a mere distraction from the impending decision hanging over his head. Few weeks from now, he would be on a plane to embark on the next part of his football career. He spent the entire week relaying the news to his friends, Grace, Dillon, and Billy. Everyone seemed to take it well and really was happy for him, then there was her. Olivia Baker. His best-friend, his day one, his confidant, the girl who kept his world spinning. When breaking the news to her about the offer to move to Atlanta to play for the Falcons, it didn't go over well. Needless to say, she was not the least bit excited about his upcoming departure. He called and texted, she refused to respond. He knew it would be hard, but he didn't expect her to react in the way she had. His finger came across her name in his contact list, sighing deeply as he started up a new message to her, before changing his mind locking his screen shaking his head. He fell back on his bed, resting his arms behind his head, lifting his eyes to the ceiling. Just as he found himself starting to drift to a slumber, he heard three taps on the front door. He rose walking towards it, with no idea of who it might be. He opened it and was met with an unexpected face and surprise.

"Liv...."

"Hey"

"Hey" They stared blankly at one another without a word. She meshed her hands together while she stood in the doorway. She took a step forward pressing her hand to his chest.

"Mind if I come in?" He nodded silently moving to the side to let her through. She took a quick glance around the living room before taking a seat on the couch.

"Listen Spencer, I'm sorry I haven't returned any of your phone calls or text and I'm sorry that I kinda freaked out on you when you told me about the move. I guess I was just..." She trailed.

"In shock?" Spencer concluded, finishing her sentence. She grinned watching him take a seat next to her.

"I guess you can say that, anyway I just wanted to apologize for the way I reacted..." Her fingers played in her lap as he rested his hand on her thigh.

"You have a right to be upset, but trust me Liv, this isn't easy for me at all, but your my best-friend and I couldn't just keep something like this from you" She gave him an small smile resting her palm on top of the hand resting on her thigh.

"I know, I understand. Even though I'm sad about it, I'm glad you still told me. We've been there for each other in our good and bad moments, and I want to continue, so, congratulations, All-American," She says as his lips curved into an slight smirk.

"Thanks Liv" He answers returning the smile she was throwing at him. Few moments later, comfortable silence invaded the space between them before one of them decided to break it.

"So, when do you leave?"

"Two weeks" he told her quickly not wanting to go into further detail.

"That's soon, but I'm hoping I can see you again, before you take off"

"Woman of course you'll see me, besides, I plan to spend all of my quality time with the people I care about most in life in these last two weeks, you can even help me pack" He smiled patting her leg as she chuckled under her breath shrugging his hand off with a lift to her brow.

"How bout nah ball player?" Olivia pressed her hand to her chest pretending to be in shock before he reached over attacking her sides. He tickled her until she couldn't take it anymore, squirming and jumping off the couch in the process.

"Okay okay ooookaaaay Spence, you win! I'll help you pack, long as we get to watch dumb movies afterwards"

"I think that can be arranged, Ms. Baker" He teased tapping her chin before leaning over to kiss her cheek tenderly, her body tensing up automatically. Her throat cleared throwing her purse over her shoulder standing up.

"Well, I wasn't tryna stay long, just wanted to see you to clear things up, I should probably head out though"

"You sure you don't want to stay, my moms and Dillon are gonna be out the rest of the night and.... I kinda miss hanging with my best-friend" Spencer vocalizes catching her hand. Olivia smiled down helping him up making eye contact.

"I miss my best-friend too, and I'm gonna miss him even more when he's gone"

Olivia spoke, sadness lacing her tone as Spencer's eyes softened recognizing her felt emotions. He hated seeing her sad or upset, and not just because she was his best-friend, it went a little deeper than that, though he had never truly admitted it. He massaged her cheek with his fingertips, cupping it in his hand.

"Hey, I'll never be gone from your life Liv, no matter where life takes us or how far apart, we may go, we'll always have each other, and you always got me"

her eyes lifted to his as she gave him a slow nod before he pulled her into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his own around her waist, holding her close and tight. They both took a long and deep exhale as they started to pull apart. Olivia's nose rubbed against his cheek before meeting up with his nose. They bumped against one another's as their eyes slowly opened, not taking their eyes from each other. Olivia's entire frame began to tremble in his arms. He slowly rubbed upward and downward on her shoulders.

"Are you cold?" He said in shaky breath.

"N-no" She whispers trying to make sense of what was happening in this moment. They had close moments like this before as bestfriends, but this time felt completely different than the others.

"Spence I-"

Her mouth opened to speak and he claimed it with his, taking her breath away. He kissed her sweetly, slightly rough, with a lot of urgency, like he's been waiting for this for years and wasn't wasting an second of this chance he got. She kissed him back, matching his energy. Their tongues fought for dominance in the other's mouth as they tried to one up the other, with their lips completely in sync. They kissed like that for a good five minutes or more before coming up for air they so desperately needed.

"Wow....that was..."

"Like nothing I imagined, heh, it was even better than I imagined" Olivia professed letting her words splur out.

"Me too, but what does it mean?"

"I don't know, do you want it to mean something?"

"Do you?" Olivia inquired with her doe eyes looking up at him, fear, hope, desperation and excitement dancing around in the same notion. He pulled her by the waist, drawing her closer, lifting his hand to her cheek again.

"No question, yes, I want it to mean something because it already does. Liv I, your my best-friend and you mean the absolute world to me and I never wanted to risk the bond of our friendship but the truth is, I no longer want to be sitting next to you, I wanna be lying next to you. I want to be with you, Liv, as more than just friends" A tear slipped down her cheek hearing those words.

"You-you're leaving in two weeks to go live in another state Spencer, how could we possibly be together when your-"

"Come with me" He pleaded abruptly taking her by surprise. She took a step back from him, trying to take it all in.

"Wh-what?" Tears pooled in her eyes. He took both of her hands, intertwining them with his own.

"Liv, no question and all jokes aside, I love you, and I know you feel the same, so why hide it? I don't want to hide it anymore, I want to be with you and I want you to come with me so if you-"She cut him off grabbing his face to kiss him passionately.

"No question, I love you too Spencer and if you're asking me to go with you to Atlanta, my answer is yes, I've waited forever for this moment and I won't let anyone take it from me, so yes I'll go with you!" Spencer's face lit up as he picked her up in his arms spinning her around until they sealed their newfound commitment to each other with a kiss.
