Six & ½ Months Later

The life that Spencer and Olivia cultivated as an unit was slowly but surely coming back together day by day. After shutting down divorce talk for good, the couple had been focusing on strengthening their bond, parenthood, and remaining committed to marriage counseling. After an very successful date night, they grew even closer, and their daughter and son added to that equation even more. On an individual side, Olivia worked hard to gain Spencer's trust while Spencer worked on not being so quick to run in the other direction when things appear to go wrong. Though it was clear that things were better between the two, Spencer still hadn't gotten rid of his condo. He'd spend most nights at the house with Olivia and the twins and only utilized the condo for his alone time or studying plays which was useful, well that's what she imagined he was over there for, and she seemed to be okay with the arrangement. At least, that's how it looked to everyone around her, including her brother and sister in law who had become an strong instrument in helping the couple gain back what they lost in their separation. Olivia was in need of some advice from her bestfriend and sister and asked to meet up for an good meal. Being the mother of twins, your bound to run behind schedule no matter what efforts you make to do the opposite.

"Well miss come lately, nice of you to finally join me"

Simone says to Olivia, slowly sipping on the water she ordered for them while waiting on the mother to arrive. Olivia waved her off slipping into the other side of the booth they had been seated at.

"You have your niece and nephew to thank for that. Couldn't get them to stop crying before I helped Spencer put them down for an nap after feeding them"

Sighing in distress, placing her purse beside her thigh. Simone's face scrunched up showing her concern for Olivia's state of mind. Being back at work, and taking care of the twins like she does, Simone couldn't imagine how stressed out she could be. Simone reached across the table, grabbing her hand.

"The teething's gotten worse?"

"Yes, and it's made them fussier than usual. I'm just glad Spencer's been able to be around them so I can have some help"

"My poor babies, that can't be easy on either of you, but I'm happy you don't have to do it alone. How are you two doing anyway?" Olivia smiled at the mention of her husband.

"Were good" Laying it out plainly until Simone quirked her brow.

"Last time you told me that, I got an alarming text from your brother weeks later telling me how Spencer moved out of the house. Say what you're not saying Olivia Marie"

"Not you using my middle name against me, but...fine..."

Liv's fingers slipped out of Simone's grasp, settling her back against the seat. Eyes lowered to her lap, fiddling with her fingers. Simone watched her carefully, curiosity having an mind of its own as she crossed her arms over her chest waiting for Olivia to speak.

"We really are good, he's been great with the twins, date nights have been fun, we've even gotten to an place where he'll sleep in bed with me multiple nights in an row"

"But......"

Simone finished the sentence for her, motioning with her hands.

"Our emotional intimacy is on point, whereas now, it seems as though our...physical intimacy has been lacking.... more than I'd like"
