Wedding Day

It's the day every woman dreams about when they are little girls still figuring out their identity in the world and how they fit in it. Surely, it's not everyone's desire to be married, but for those that do, it's an big deal. From the dress to the bridesmaids and groomsmen, the flowers, the music, the venue, or location, even the hair, makeup, and other essentials to an woman's beauty. All of it matters to the bride in question, because it is supposed to be one of the happiest days of their life. The day you tell your future children about. Grace James's time for this day had finally came. She was about to embark on an new journey with the love of her life. A love she needed but never saw coming. Everything was perfect, but as the bride to be stood in front of her mirror, veil on top of her head and a beautiful white dress to follow, the doubts began to creep in.

"Nah this is ridiculous I don't think I can do this"

Grace scraped the floor with her heels as Simone, her older sister Reece, and an very distracted Olivia surrounded her. Grace always had an love for Simone even before she got with Jordan and together or not, she adored them both. Her older sister was another surprise that she wasn't expecting but she was happy she could be here to share the moment with her.

"Come on lil sis, copping out of things is more of my thing not yours"

"Shut up Reecey!" Grace spat as Simone turned to Reece giving her an knowing look with her eyebrows narrowing. Reece shrugged her shoulders innocently, stepping back from the situation, her eyes now going to Olivia who was to herself in an corner looking out the window.

"I think what your sister is trying to say is, you can do this, Ms. Grace. I mean this is what you've been preparing for these last few weeks"

Simone tried to convince the nervous bride. She continued to pace, with her hands to her hips, worry etched across her forehead.

"But what if it's too soon? I mean I love Carter, right? But is love enough to get married, spend the rest of our lives together? Or are we moving too fast?"

"You aren't moving too fast, Ms. Grace, sometimes people wait an long time to get together, but they always knew they were meant to be. Liv knows that better than anyone, right Liv? Liv?"

Simone called out to her bestfriend, staring off into space, rolling her fingers around the pendant on her necklace. Olivia was in her own world, regretting the night before and missing the hell out the brides son. Though she regretted the way it came out, he did need to hear it, she'd been silent about the way he was moving after their breakup for too long and one way or another, it needed to be said. She just wished the delivery had been better but when your emotions are at bay, it's hard to contain them when they boil to the surface. He's reached out but she was too upset to respond, and they haven't spoken since. Olivia was so caught up in her own mind that Simone calling her name fell to deaf ears.

"Olivia!" She finally yelled, Olivia jumped but turned her head as they finally caught her attention.

"Huh, I'm sorry, just have an lot on my mind. What happened Si?"

"I was just telling Ms. Grace how people can wait forever to be together and still know they are meant to be"

"Kinda like you and Spencer"

Reece chimed in, both ladies furrowing their brows to her, hoping she would catch what they were tryna throw, and she did. She eyed them for an few seconds before taking an deep breath and walking over to an panicked Grace. She grabbed both of her hands, providing temporary comfort.
