The estranged couple settled into the quiet that crowded Spencer's place, as they awaited the pending news. They sat beside each other, with Olivia's phone face down on the coffee table. He was slouched back on the sofa, hands tapping an soft beat on his legs. Next to him, Olivia stared into space, rubbing her knuckles together. Her shoulders leaned further into the sofa with her legs crossed tightly. The silence was deafening. Slightly calm, but also lethal. Spencer's head shifts to the side, eyes dropping to his wrist checking the time.

"How long did they say it would take to come through?"

"No more than ten minutes after the reference and tech check"

"It's been at least 8, what's the hold up?"

"You mean the thing about the reference and tech check?"

He whipped his head her way arching his brow.

"Wise question redacted, sorry"

She shot her palm up to the air with an sigh going back to playing with her hands nervously.

"Got anything in here I can snack on? All I've had today was one cup of decaffeinated coffee and an chocolate croissant"

Spencer stifled his laughter.

"And that wasn't enough?"

"In what world is an pastry and coffee enough food for anyone?"

Rolling her eyes for emphasis while motioning with her hands dramatically.

"It would be to an workaholic"

"Well it's not and it won't be if you're eating for two"

"Touche girl, touché. I don't know what's in there, but knock yourself out"

He waved her off as permission to go searching in his kitchen.

"Ugh thank god! Thanks!"

She jumped up happily heading to his kitchen area, filling through the cabinets as he chuckled at how her mood shifted from the mention of food. That's one part of Olivia that didn't change, and after being married to her for so many years, even now, he was able to appreciate it. He glanced over where she was leaning against the cabinets, slapping peanut butter and grape jelly on two pieces of bread as an salt and vinegar potato chip slipped into her mouth. Spencer cringed at the weird combination she had in front of her but smiled briefly knowing why it was occurring in the first place. As she overindulged in her quick meal, she turned her head catching him looking at her.

"What??"

"Nothin, I just noticed you made an pb&j but I know how much you hate peanut butter so it's just odd seeing you eat it right now"

"You're not wrong, but ever since I started eating for two, pb, bread and ice cream's been my bestfriend"

She shrugged her shoulders, taking another bite before swallowing it down with some orange juice. He laughed an little nodding her way.

"I see that. How is...everything going, with the pregnancy?"

He hesitantly asked her as another bite went easily down her throat. Her vision went to him in an instant, wiping her hands off with the napkin before giving him an answer.

"It's been okay. I mean my mood swings can be an little crazy, not to mention tryna tame all these cravings I've been having, but outside of that, things are coo"

"That's good to hear. What about the morning sickness? My mom told me it's the worst during the first trimester, but not every woman gets it"

Her eyes widened in surprise, not expecting him to say that.
