*warning has been rendered! long, kinda spicy, kinda not *

The hallways of Crenshaw high crowded up as Spencer strolled his way towards his locker. He opened it, slipping his chemistry book inside, pausing for a second doing a mental checklist in his head ensuring he had everything he needed for his next class. Going through his list he felt his jean pocket vibrate, pulling it out to see a text from his girlfriend.

Wifey 😍🥵 💜 💜: You forgot your English book

Spencer looked at the screen then back to his locker as his forehead wrinkled in confusion until he heard the faint sounds of music playing in the hallway. Second to second, it grew closer, and louder. Spencer followed the beat until his eyes were met up with his goofy girlfriend strutting in the hallway. The minute their eyes locked, she winked in his direction, increasing the volume on her boom box, spreading her legs apart in a side angle pose before twirling around in circles, an artistic and colorful poster in one hand, boombox on the other. The students in the hallway gave her dirty looks as she continued to smile and twirl around till she got to Spencer. A smile dropped to his mouth as he watched her approach him, stuffing the rest of miscellaneous things in his locker, finally closing it.

"What is all this?" Liv's brow scrunched looking down at her boombox, the poster then back at him.

"I think it's pretty obvious, translation" she says while Spencer gave her weird looks, eyeing the masterpiece that was her poster.

"Spencer James, will you be my date to prom?"

"DIDN'T WE ALREADY COORDINATE OUR OUTFITS?" He whispered yelled trying to talk over the loudspeakers. Olivia's eyes rolled growing impatient with his impending response to her question.

"Boy just answer the question!"

"I would but I can't hear myself speaaaak" he said with emphasis signaling for her to turn off the speaker so she could hear him clearly.

"Hell, yeah girl, c'mere" She squealed at his reply of acceptance, leaping into his arms, as he let their bodies swing a little. She had her arms looped tightly around his neck as he rocked them back and forth, pulling back to steal a kiss. He held onto her waist as he rubbed the taste of her from his lips as her hands went to his shoulders.

"Wait a minute woman, I already asked you to prom, I mean I ain't ask you like this bu-"

"Actually, you asked me to South Crenshaw's prom, not Beverly's, and women can make big gestures too" Olivia cuts him off while speaking with her hands before pushing them to her hips.

"Hey, no arguments there, but foreal though, I can't wait. This prom's gonna be all about us, with no distractions" Spencer says full of excitement and anticipation of this big night. Prom has been something he's dreamed of since he was a kid and like any other teenager, he wanted to ensure his girlfriend had a great time while they were there. It was true they both lived with hero complexes and had this natural notion to save everyone around them, but they made a vow to one another that they would just focus on each other in their last year of high school and not other people or their problems. Spencer intended on honoring this vow.

"That's right, and no hero moments either" Spencer scrunched his nose, seeing the non-obvious shade she was trying to throw his way.

"You talkin about me or yourself?" Olivia's hand graced her hip giving her boyfriend a disapproving stare.

"I'm talkin to the both of us, Mr. James" He laughed at his girls antics sticking his pinky out while she did the same, letting them connect, before they both blew on it, air kissed it, then sealed it by kissing each other. That one kiss turned into a full blown makeout, with the bell bringing them to a halt.
