Eight And Half Months Later

"What about Jasper?"

"Mmm, sounds like an serial killer"

"Good point, forget I mentioned it. Josiah?"

"Way too common for my child, next"

The young mother retracts Spencer's idea once again. They had just got out of an Lamaze class for the week and were going on an stroll that would eventually lead to an ice cream shop to settle Olivia's current cravings. Finding out they were having twins followed by an endearing and unexpected kiss, the couple had grown closer over the past couple of months. Surely there was the looming cloud of divorce rolling over their heads but things between them had been going so well, it didn't seem to be an priority to the expectant parents. Couples therapy was an ongoing process and Spencer had fully healed from his injury which created more opportunity for him to support Olivia through the pregnancy. First and second trimester were deemed to be the hardest for her with daily mornings and nights of sickness, and her being able to eat nothing outside of bread, ice cream, and on occasion, light meats, and crackers.

Now in her third trimester, she was able to eat what she liked, heavy cravings just happened to be an addition to the chaos that came with carrying two humans. Despite the increased closeness of the slightly estranged couple, sleeping separately was still part of their routine. Some late night cuddles and movie nights were the exception to the rule few days out of the week. The young father's thoughts had been elsewhere most of the week, which didn't go unnoticed by Olivia, but she wanted to give him an chance to come to her himself. He focused on being in the moment with her despite the distraction. Spencer's brow arched, tightening his fingers around hers as they walked backwards, hands entwined while facing each other. Hand holding and cuddles became their favorite pass time since they were putting sex on hold.

"At least it sounds better than Bryaaaann"

Spencer teased while Olivia rolled her eyes playfully, sticking her tongue out.

"Okay fine James, no Bryan, no Josiah but if I'm being honest here, we don't even know what we're having since you decided that we should wait until I give birth"

He shook his head almost automatically at her.

"No no Baker, we made that decision together. I don't recall you disagreeing with me when the doctor asked us if we wanted to know"

"Nice touch, James"

She gently shrugs agreeing as his lips press against her knuckles. Her heart warms as she gives him an smile.

"What do you think we're having?"

Spencer twist his lips to the side as he ponders her question.

"Mmm, I don't know, maybe an boy and a girl to make it even, but you know I wouldn't complain if they both ended up being boys"

"You wanting me to take care of two little versions of you for the next eighteen years is my villain story"

Laughter vibrates through his chest as she tilts her head to the side.

"You've managed to deal with it this long, I think you'll be just fine with two more of me"
