Olivia was sitting on the kitchen stool scrolling through some photos she transferred from her phone to her MacBook when the front door opened. She turned her head to see her mom walking in with Spencer behind her. Excitement and joy rushed through Liv's body as she quickly stood running into Spencer's arms, and he caught her just in time. Her voice squealed as they embraced wrapping her arms around his neck while he committed one lazy hand around her waist.

"Hi!"

"Hey!" They pulled apart so he could hug her twin, Jordan. They did their signature handshake and dapped each other up before pulling in for a hug.

"Welcome back brother" Jordan says with a gracious smile.

"Thanks man!" They dap up once more as Spencer's own smile shined through before going back to hug his best-friend Olivia again, holding her a little while longer compared to the first time. They pull away walking towards the kitchen joining Jordan forming a line in front of Laura.

"So, who's hungry? I can cook or we could- "All three teens cut the mother off.

"Takeout" Spencer, Liv, and Jordan speak in unison. Laura tilted her head to the side with a bewildered smile.

"Very funny. Takeout it is" Once the food arrives, they all were gathered at the table, playing around, laughing, and joking with each other. Spencer stood up to take his empty plate to the sink and Liv's eyes followed him standing up to follow behind him. He sighed loudly standing against the cabinets with his arms crossed and texting someone from his phone when Liv walked up.

"So do you have any idea who called in the tip about you not living here?" He turned around to face him.

"Nope, but whoever it was better hope I never find out"

"No disagreement there, but how are you doing with everything else, like your dad?" Spencer breathed in slowly at the mention of his very strained relationship with his dad as a topic. Part of him was happy about his presence, the other half of him was still angry.

"I'm getting by, it's still an adjustment and like...ion know Liv, I wanna be happy that he's here, I am happy that he's here, but...just feels like everything happened so fast and I just haven't had a moment to stop and really think about all of it" She rested her hand on his as he lifted his eyes to her.

"I get that, and you might feel that way for a while and that's okay if you do Spence, you went from not seeing him for years to him now living in the same city as you and being in close proximity, nobody can blame you for feeling uneasy about it" He blinked at her with a nod.

"I just don't think I'm ready for everything that comes with.... that comes with- "

"Him being part of your life" She finished the sentence for him. He laughed with a smile. Even when he thought she didn't know him well enough, she managed to prove him wrong each time showing how much she did know him.

"It's okay Spence, you're allowed to feel that way, don't let him or anyone else tell you different" He succumbed to her gaze slowly nodding with his lips curving into a smile.

"Thanks Liv,"

"No need to thank me, besides, I'm just.... really glad that it brought you back home" she said with a wide smile while he looked away for a second pursing his lips, peering down. Silence came and they chucked lightly at the same time.

"I'm sorry! Of course, your home is with Grace and Dillon in Crenshaw I just- "He took her by the hand cutting her off.

"No, you used the right word, Beverly's my home too, guess I just needed a reminder of that" A smile gently graced her lips as he returned hers with a subtle bite to his lower lip looking up at her. Her lips pursed as she placed her hand on his shoulder and leaned closer to kiss his cheek slowly walking past him to join Jordan and Laura back at the table. He watched her walk away smiling to himself, grateful that he had two places to call home. After all, home is where the heart is, and his heart was invested in Beverly like it was in Crenshaw.
