tw: language"i'm vibing, vibing." jenna and i sang. we giggled a little bit. usually when we went to support our husbands at their concerts, we would be on the floor. but i was 38 weeks pregnant and jenna was 12 weeks pregnant. we could easily get hurt, and so could our babies. especially me, considering i could pop my baby out at any given time.
"i'm really glad we decided to go, even though we're pregnant. it just sucks that we couldn't get barricade like we usually do." jenna said. i shrugged.
"yeah, i guess now we're 'fake fans'." i joked. she giggled.
"totally fake fans. i mean, let's just ask our unborn children. or i could ask my one year old." she replied. we both laughed. i looked at my huge stomach.
"is mommy a fake fan, willow?" i said. just then, i felt a huge cramp, and a gush of liquid run down my leg. holy shit.
"y/n are you okay? you look like you've just seen a ghost.." jenna asked me. i looked at her with fearful eyes.
"uhm, so i have some news." i told her, nervously. she raised an eyebrow as i held my stomach. "willow is coming. now."
"really?!" she asked. i nodded vigorously. she began to look around.
"okay, we gotta get you outta here. i'll call an ambulance and they can drive you over because for one thing i know if i drive we won't make it in time with traffic and for another i need to be able to tell josh as soon as he gets off stage." jenna decided. i nodded, as a contraction broke through me. i held on to a railing, tightly. there was definitely people watching me.
when the contraction passed, jenna took my hand and led me to an exit. we pushed passed people, but thankfully most moved out of the way after seeing jenna and i. finally, we made it outside the venue and she dialed 911. she explained the situation and they said they would bring and ambulance.
soon enough, an ambulance arrived. the medics asked if there was anything to be concerned about, and i just told them i was in labor and i was totally healthy. they put me on a stretcher and i was put in the ambulance. it was weird being in an ambulance when there wasn't anything really wrong with you. except maybe the fact that i was gonna push a human out of me.
jenna promised that she, josh, and maybe tyler would be there asap. i told her to make sure that josh was there, because i knew i wouldn't be able to do it without him. she told me she'd do her best and the ambulance doors closed.
okay, y/n. let's go have a human.
jenna's pov
the ambulance drove y/n away and i rushed inside. instead of heading back to my seat, i went backstage so i could immediately be there when the boys got off stage. y/n needed josh. that was something i understood completely. i would have felt horrible if i had to give birth to rosie without tyler.
twenty minutes after i got back inside, i heard the boys say their closing and i rushed behind the stage. i watched the boys bow, and then come behind the curtain.
"dude, that was sick!" tyler said, as soon as they came back.
"literally!" josh agreed. i walked up to him. "hey, jenna. where's my wife?"
"having your baby. now let's go, we gotta get to the hospital." i told him. his eyes widened.
"she what?" he questioned. i face palmed.
"josh, you're about to be a dad and it's up to you to decide if you see the birth. are you coming or not?" i snapped. i could've been nicer but i didn't want y/n to be alone for her birth. true, some could be in labor for 24+ hours but some can do labor for a half hour and it'd be normal.
"yes, let's go!!" he urged. we started walking outside and tyler followed us, completely clueless.
"guys, where are we going?" he asked us.
"y/n is in labor." i told him.
"no way! time to be an uncle." tyler exclaimed. i smiled, as i was also excited to be an aunt.
we made our way to the parking lot and piled into tyler's truck. thankfully, the boys weren't on tour yet and we didn't have to haul around the tour bus. that'd be so inconvenient.
tyler started the truck as i looked behind me at josh. he was shaking a bit and he was picking at his nails. he was anxious.
"excited to be a dad, josh?" i asked him. he let out a short chuckle and nodded.
"mostly nervous. what if i don't get there on time?" he replied. i shook my head.
"we'll get you there, josh. we will." i assured him.
traffic was a bit crazy because of the concert. tyler cussed out multiple people, as i attempted to calm him down. getting pissed would only make it worse.
30 minutes passed and josh just got increasingly more anxious.
"oh no! there's no way i'm gonna make it now. i'm a terrible dad already." he cried. i snapped my head towards josh.
"stop, josh. i'm texting y/n now, she's not gonna start pushing anytime soon. she's only 3 centimeters dilated. we have time, don't worry." i assured him. he took a deep breath.
"sorry."
"it's okay. i get it."
after waiting one hour in traffic, we were finally able to get to the hospital. when we got there, josh ran ahead of us, anxious to get to y/n.
"were you this anxious with rosie?" i asked tyler. he smirked.
"i was worse." he told me.
"jeez. at least with our next baby, you have some experience." i said to him. he nodded.
"true."
your pov
i was five centimeters dilated when josh came bursting into the room, covered in sweat and confetti. he was still in his skeleton hoodie as well. i smiled.
"you're here!" i gushed. he rushed and sat by my side.
"of course! i wouldn't miss this for the world." he told me. i blushed. after all this time, even laying on a hospital bed with my legs spread to push out his baby, josh always knew how to make me blush.
"see, told you i'd get him here." jenna said, turning the corner. i smiled at her.
"thank yo-ooh oooh no no no." i groaned, as another contraction passed through me. just then, my doctor came into the room.
"okay, y/n. let's see how far you have to go." she said, sitting by my knees. she lifted my blanket and looked up and smiled at me. "good news, we can bring you to the delivery room to start pushing."
i looked at josh and jenna. they both had bright faces. i assumed tyler was in the waiting room.
"would you like to go in with us, jenna?" i asked jenna. she smiled. her and i were always really close. especially through my pregnancy.
"of course." she replied.
"well, then." i said, looking at the three people in front of me. "let's go have a baby."
