I was not expecting to see her. The whole night feels even more charged than it did before.

I send him a quick message, as I'm not sure he even knows. I assume he would, but then, why would he be okay with me being here?

"Your girlfriend is here," I type.
"What? Shit."

I guess he didn't know. That makes me feel a bit better.

"Thanks for the heads up," his message says.
And then, "Sorry."
"No need. Good luck tonight," I reply, but I am somewhat bummed. Not that anything would happen regardless as I was here with Matt and Pete, but still, I thought I'd at least get to talk to him again. Not a chance now though.

We watch the couple of bands that take the stage before his band does, and I have to say that I am having a pretty good time.

Although it wasn't quite the night I expected, I am having fun. Pete is psyched to be at this show, and because he's happy, it seems like Matt is in a pretty good mood as well.

The cheap beers don't hurt either.

Then, his band takes the stage, and my heart starts thumping wildly in my chest. I look up at him and I know that I thought he was good looking before, but right at this moment, he is breathtaking.

I can't take my eyes off of him. A whole rush of feelings wash over me.

He's so focused on the music. And then he looks at me, and smiles.

I glance at his girlfriend to see if she notices, but she is looking down at her phone. I can't believe it. How can she not be glued to his presence?

All of a sudden, I hear voices behind me, and I turn around. Matt is talking to someone, and that someone has her arms around his midsection.

I shake my head totally confused. Is some random chick glomping onto my boyfriend? Not that I wasn't just starting at some other guy, but still. And then, I see her face.

It's the girl from the photo at the Con.
