Alice had awoken. Her parachute had been pulled, her mask connected to oxygen. Around her she saw the rest of the team, flying past, pulling parachutes.
She tried to remember what happened on the plane. She could only think of an explosion. Then things went blurry. She remembered electric sparks, the blue fire bouncing off of her mask, setting her arm on fire. She looked down at her left forearm, the white material had been burned away, her skin blackened underneath. It hurt to touch it.
She breathed heavily through the cold, artificial oxygen. It elevated her senses. She looked down, seeing the ground, a mile below her. It was going to take a long time to get to the bottom.
