An update I was supposed to make ages ago, but of course, I forgot. But better be late than never. Hope you won't mind checking out my other work:
A Silver Lining
"Our lives were destroyed,
Our dreams were crushed.
But maybe we can fix it,
Together."*S Y N O P S I S*
Stella's life always seemed perfect to others. Living a life that includes a perfect home with a perfect family, her life is adored by everyone. But her adored life gets ruined when her real parents show up at her doorsteps and demands to take her back with them.
Now with a twisted life, Stella has to move on and restart her life in a strange city with people she barely knows. Things don't go as bad as she thought once she started getting to know these strangers around her. Especially when she meets Ryan, the city's ex-gold son, and becomes a part of their family's secret.
Ryan has a past that he wants to forget. Being idolized by every person in the town once, all Ryan now wants to avenge the death of his friend and live alone in peace. But now that Stella became a part of their lives and families' secret, that plan becomes impossible to carry out.
Stella, too, has a secret past that she wants to remove from her past. But how can you forget this huge part of your life and move on?
However, life has other plans for them. With mutual history and having the same goal, Stella and Ryan find themselves in a position where they realize that life is more than what we know and see. Traveling past and meeting old Nemesis and discovering the twisted truths of their lives is not something they planned for the trip. Finding love was not part of their plan either.
Now that their feelings have also become a part of it, Stella finds herself stuck in a position where she has to make the biggest decision of their life that can ruin everything of their life or rebuild it.
Will Stella make the right choice and find the silver lining of her life?

"And before you reach any conclusion, I don't like you, in any way."
"Good because I don't like you either," He said bluntly. "I happen to love you."
I barely had anytime to mule over his words before he grasped the back of my neck and pulled me tightly into his chest. He buried his face in my hair and whispered in my ears, "So, will you be my valentine?"
His arms slid down around my waist and looked down at me hopefully. I stared back. I couldn't tell what was happening. I wanted to say yes, no, something. But nothing was coming out. It felt like I've lost my voice all of a sudden. I couldn't even trust my voice and felt my head nodding.
And before I knew it, Ryan Anderson was kissing me.

===========
This story was my first work, I started it when I was only 15. Still I believe it's readable and unlike High school survival theory, it ain't cliche. Highly recommended to non-cliche lovers. Hope you'll give it a shot.
