Chapter 18: Keeping Secret

The couple was really happy because Tenzin's family accepted and gave them their support for their relationship. Everything was ready for the couple to leave because their day was waiting.

"So. Uhm guys, Thank you so much for supporting us." Korra said with a smile.

"Very well, Korra. We're always here to support you." Tenzin said.

"Korra, come on. Our boat's ready." Asami said sweetly.

"Go on, Asami. I'll just follow you." Korra said. Asami just nod at her and smiled. When Asami left, Korra faced her Mentor's family.

"I-I need to tell you something. A-Asami didn't know I'm the Avatar. Neither a bender." Korra said almost whispering. Afraid that Asami might hear her.

"What?! Are you serious?" Tenzin exclaimed.

"Tenzin! Lower your voice!" Pema scolded her husband but by whispering.

"Korra. What if she found out?" Jinora said. Korra looked down and caressed her nape.

"I-I don't know. Please, don't tell her I'm a bender. S-She hated all the benders. Except for you Tenzin because she know you're the son of Avatar Aang. I don't wanna lose her. I can't accept it." Korra said and her eyes went watery.

"You're the Avatar. Why is she going to hate you?" Ikki said

"S-She asked me before if I'm a bender. And I said No. I lied to her. Of course she'll be mad if she found out." Korra said, now crying quietly. Kya hugged her and wiped off her tears.

"Shh. Don't cry Korra. We'll keep your secret. You won't lose your girlfriend. But let me remind you, this is a mistake. You should tell her immediately before it's too late." Kya said caressing Korra's back.

"I-I will. But not now." The avatar said and broke the hug. She wiped off all the remaining tears on her eyes and cheeks. For Asami not to notice it.

"Korra?" A voice called her coming from outside.

"It's Asami. We have to go." Korra said

"Goodluck, Korra. Be careful." Bumi said. Korra laughed a little and the others stared at him.

"What?" Bumi said innocently.

"Where do you think she's going? They will just go for a date Bumi." Kya said, crossing her arms and smirking at her brother. Bumi just pokered face and looked down. Everyone laughed.

"Korra? Come on, sweetie. Let's go." Asami said now entered the room.

"Go now to your date lovebirds." Meelo said sarcastically. They just laughed at Meelo.

"So, goodbye?" Korra said. The people just nod at them. Asami grabbed Korra's hand and they went to the boat and leave. Korra released a deep sigh as the boat started to move on the water. This is going to be a perfect day. She thought.

"Hey, sweetie. Are you alright?" Asami whispered to Korra's ear as she back-hugged the avatar.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Korra said and faced her girlfriend.

"Oh, yeah? You look like a newly awaken badgermole." Asami said then she laughed. Korra rolled her eyes.

"Ha Ha. Hilarious. Come here, you naughty girl." Korra said and pulled her girlfriend in for passionate kiss.
