Chapter 46: Wedding Day ❤️ (Part Two)

"Asami, stay here until Korra arrives." Hiroshi stated before he left her daughter alone in her room. Asami just nodded and took a deep breath. This is it. This is the day that they've been waiting for. She's still nervous, but not because of doubts. 'Am I going to be a good wife for her?' She thought. Hiroshi,Mako,and Bolin waited at the coast for the avatar's arrival.

"There they are!" Bolin exclaimed holding a telescope in his hands as he waved at the Southern Water Tribe ship coming. As the ship stopped, Senna and the other White Lotus men came out. Hiroshi bowed to her and everyone waited for the avatar to come out. Slowly, she showed up accompanied by her father. The brothers were jaw-dropped because of the avatar's undeniable beauty. While the others just stared at her with their eyes widened. Korra walked slowly towards the venue. Since Korra was considered as the 'groom' between her and Asami, she's the one waited beside the priest. Their Best men were Mako and Bolin who's also beside the avatar. Hiroshi came back inside the temple to fetch his daughter. He knocked and slowly opened the door.

"Let's go Asami. Korra's here. And we're about to begin the ceremony." Hiroshi stated. The young CEO smiled and took a deep breath. They proceeded to the venue and slowly walked in the red carpet. Asami couldn't help but to cry silently at the sight of her girlfriend. The avatar was staring straight in her eyes while smiling. Her eyes were full of love and passion. She looks so beautiful with her gown. Asami and her father reached Korra. Hiroshi hugged Korra first before he gave Asami's hand to her. Korra just smiled at her and wiped off her tears. Then they both faced the priest.

"We shall begin... with the holy matrimony of Asami Sato and Avatar Korra. Marriage is a sacred oath between two people in front of those whom you love and cherish. If anyone objects to this marriage, please speak now. Or forever hold your peace." The priest stated. A moment of silence after that. Means that no one objects the love of the two women. The priest smiled.

"So no one objects. I'm grateful for that. Even though they're both woman, Love did bloomed. Proving that love is uncontrollably force. You can't ignore it nor deny it. You just have to follow what you feel."

"So let's not take this too long. Do you, Avatar Korra, of the Southern Water Tribe, took this lady as your beloved wife and will promise to protect her and never hurt her no matter what?" The priest asked as he looked at Korra. The avatar smiled and turned to Asami.

"I do take her, and I promise to protect her and take care of her for the rest of our lives." Korra said looking lovingly to Asami. Asami just smiled as a small tear escaped from her eye.

"And do you, Asami Sato, of the Fire Nation and a citizen of the United Republic, took this lady as also your beloved wife and will promise to take good care of her in sickness and in health, and till death do you part?" The priest asked now turning to Asami.

"I do take Korra. And I promise to take good care of her and forever be in her side no matter how crazy things get. I will always love her." Asami said staring at Korra.

"Very well. Now for the vows!" The priest stated. Asami and Korra faced each other. Korra grabbed Asami's both hands and looked straight in her eyes.

"I take you to be my best friend, my faithful partner, and my one true love. I promise to encourage you and inspire you and to love you truly through good times and bad. I will forever be there to laugh with you, to lift you up when you are down and to love you unconditionally through all of our adventures in life together. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I've ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours." Korra stated looking straight to Asami. The heiress couldn't help it, she cried silently between Korra's speech. In every word she spoke, she felt that Korra was sincere, and her love was real. Meelo moved forward holding a pillow with a necklace and ring on it. Korra took the necklace and turned to Asami again.

"Take this necklace as the sign of my forever love. That I will be here by your side, loving you with all my heart. May this necklace remembers you all the good times and bad times we shared together. I love you, and I always will." Korra added as she leaned forward to put the necklace on Asami. The young CEO touched the water tribe necklace attached in her neck as she teared up even more. She took another deep breath before she looked up to Korra.

"I choose you to be no other than yourself, loving what I know of you. And trusting who you will become. I will respect and honor you always and in all ways. With you I pledge to repair one small piece of the world. I take you to be my spouse, to have and to hold, in tears and in laughter, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, from this day forward, in this world and the next." The heiress paused to get the ring.

"Take this ring as a seal upon the marriage vows I have spoken, and as you wear it, may it be a reminder of how much I love you, not only on this precious day, but every single day of your life. You changed my standpoints about the benders in this world. I don't care anymore if you are a bender or the avatar. I love you, just the way you are." Asami continued as she touched Korra's cheek.

"I may now pronounced you, Mrs. and Mrs. Sato. You may now kiss." the priest stated. Korra looked at Asami's eyes, down in her lips. They both leaned forward, until their noses touched, and their lips met. Everyone clapped and splashed flower petals to the newly wedded avatar and engineer. As their lips separated, Korra lift Asami and carried her bridal style. They faced the crowd happily as their friends and family went forward to congratulate them.
