Chapter 28: Caught in the Act

"So, are you staying here Bolin?" Korra asked.

"Oh yes. Tenzin invited me to stay here while Mako is busy courting your girlfriend. Oopss.. Sorry." Bolin said and gave Korra peace sign. The avatar laughed bitterly.

"It's okay, Bo." Korra said.

"So are you planning to meet her again?" Bolin asked. Korra just sighed.

"I don't know. I did my best to win her back. But it seems there's no Chance. Now Mako is courting her. I'm sure she'll say yes to him." Korra said sadly. Of course Bolin is a good friend, he didn't want his friend to be sad. So he thought of something.

"Hmm. How about we make her jealous? That way we can prove if she still loves you or not." Bolin suggested.

"I don't think so, Bo."

"How about.... Ah! I know." Bolin said and he smirked. Korra gave him a quizzical look.

"Oh. It's a secret. Just prepare yourself because we're going to the city. Go Go!" Bolin said as he pushed Korra to the hallway. Korra raised an eyebrow and Bolin just winked at her as if saying "Trust me." Korra laughed a little and proceeded to her room. Bolin sat on the Sofa ang think about his plan. He smirked and laughed. "Oh my. Forgive me Big Brother." Bolin whispered and laughed a little. after a few minutes, Korra was finished preparing herself and saw Bolin sleeping in the sofa. She can hear his little snore. She smiled and tapped Bolin's shoulder.

"Hey Bolin. Come on." Korra whispered sweetly.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I fell asleep. Come on!" Bolin said rubbing his sleepy eyes. The two best friends used a boat to go to the city. As they arrived, they headed in front of the Future Industries tower.

"Follow my lead." Bolin said like a detective. Korra just laughed a little and follow him. They hide behind a Sato mobile and Bolin was sneaking out like he was inspecting.

"Hey Bolin! What are you planning to do?" Korra whispered.

"Shush! We're detectives right now! We'll see if Mako's here!" Bolin whispered back. Korra can't control herself but to laugh. Bolin acted such a weird. He doesn't act like this. But she's thankful he's here to help. She don't know how to repay Bolin from his kindness.

"Hahaha! Good to see you again, Mako. So where do you want to go?" A familiar voice said. The avatar's eyes widened because it was Asami's voice.

"Shush. They're here." Bolin whispered. She sneaked out and saw Mako and Asami talking happily. She felt like something punched her heart seeing her loved ones happy with someone else. Her eyes went teary again and she hates it. Suddenly Mako grabbed Asami's waist closer to his body and kissed her cheeks. Asami even blushed and smiled. Korra saw it and her tears finally fell down on her cheeks. Bolin hold her hand and looked at her. The avatar shooked her head and ran away at the back of the car. Bolin tried to call her without noticing but it's too late. His brother saw him and called him.

"Bolin? What are you doing here? You said you'll stroll around right?" Mako said. The earth bender turned around nervously and laughed awkwardly.

"H-Hi Asami! Good to see you." Bolin said. The CEO just nodded and smiled.

"Are you with someone? You seemed like calling someone out there." Mako asked. Bolin raised his eyebrow. his eyes widened a little and thought of something. On the inside, Bolin was smirking.

"Uhh. Y-Yes. I'm strolling around. In fact, I'm with Korra." Bolin said proudly.

"What?!" Mako and Asami said.

"Bolin, you know her?" Asami asked. Bolin nodded.

"Yes of course. I'm her boy friend." Bolin said. He saw Asami's reaction changed. He can see jealousy in the CEO's eyes as she stared at him.

"Oh I don't mean romantically involved. Just ... Boy best friend." He smiled devilishly. Asami just rolled her eyes.

"She's here?! And wait, Asami you know Korra?" Mako asked confused.

"Yes. Oh c'mon Mako. What kind of suitor are you? You didn't know that Korra moved here?" Bolin said teasing a little. Mako gave him a death glare.

"Ex-suitor." The fire bender said. The non-bender looked at him confused.

"W-Wait Mako, you're her ex-suitor?" Asami asked.

"Y-Yes." the Fire bender said awkwardly.

"Sooo. I gotta go. Korra and I will go to the park after. Bye!" Bolin said as he waved his hands to them and leave.

The earth bender searched for Korra and he found her sitting at the side of the road.

"Korra! Phew! That was close." Bolin said. The avatar didn't respond but she looked at Bolin.

"She's jealous." Bolin said. Korra raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

"I said I was your boy friend. And I saw jealousy in her eyes. She even stared at me like she wants to kill me." Bolin laughed before he continued. "But then I explained that it was just 'Boy best friend' and nothing romantic. Then she calmed but she rolled her eyes." Korra stared at him and laughed.

"You think she get jealous?"

"Of course! And I 'accidentally' mentioned Mako's your ex-suitor. You should've seen Mako's reaction!" Bolin exclaimed. Korra laughed.

"Hahaha! That was epic though!" Korra said and they laughed at each other.

Meanwhile, Asami watched them behind carefully. Mako said he will prepare himself up for their date later and leave. Asami saw Bolin and Korra laughing at the side of the road. She just hide behind a tree and watched the two pinching each other's cheeks. She turned around and tears fell down on her face but she wiped it off immediately and leave.
