Chapter 48: The Sato Family [Epilogue]

Asami and Korra spent the three days of their honeymoon only doing the 'thing'. They made love almost nonstop since their first day in the Fire Nation. Now that their vacation ends, the couple started to pack their things because the Airship might be on the way to fetch them. The avatar noticed the strange moves Asami was making while fixing her things. She can see the CEO's difficulty of walking properly. Korra smiled as she walked to Asami and gave her a sweet back hug.

"I'm sorry. Am I too rough last night?" Korra whispered to her wife's ear as she tighten her hug. Asami blushed because she knows what Korra's trying to say.

"N-No. Don't worry, I'll be fine." Asami replied, trying to hide the pain.

"No. You need rest. I'll do it. Just get back to bed and get some rest." Korra said grabbing Asami's things. The engineer didn't refused because that's all she wanted to do. Korra supported her to lay down on the bed because of the serious pain she felt.

"I'm sorry Asami. I shouldn't have used my bending last night." Korra said giggling, trying to make her wife smile.

"Korra." Asami stated controlling her giggle. The avatar just laugh and get back to arranging their things. After a few minutes, the airship arrived and Korra started to bring inside their things. Asami headed to the sofa to rest.

"Alright that's all! Let's go." Korra stated as she sat beside her wife. Asami rested her head on Korra's shoulder and try to take a nap. Korra let her because she looks really exhausted.

A few hours later, they arrived at the temple. The pilot started to unload their belongings in the airship. Korra didn't bother to wake her wife because Asami had a nice long sleep. So she carefully carried her into her room at the temple. Tenzin and the others welcomed them but when they saw Asami sleeping, they let Korra to bring her first in the room. The avatar laid her wife on the bed carefully to prevent her from waking up. Then she kissed her forehead and get her a blanket.

"Welcome home." Tenzin stated as he pulled Korra for a hug. Korra hugged him back.

"Sooooo~ How's your honeymoon?" Bolin asked playfully while smirking. Everyone just laughed.

"Dad, what's honeymoon?" Meelo asked curiously. Tenzin's eyes widened.

"Well, I-uh. I think you're too young to know that son." Tenzin said earning a glare from his son.

"What? I'm old dad." Meelo said acting his 'dangerous' side. Pema pinched his nose.

"You know sometimes there are things that aren't appropriate for children okay?" Pema said gently. The air bender just crossed his arms and everyone laughed.

"Wait, where's Mako?" Korra asked. Bolin frowned and looked away.

"He's in the city. Don't bother to find him. You're wasting your time." Bolin said coldly. They never talked to each other since Mako confessed to him. The fire bender even stayed at the Police Station trying to distance himself.

"What? Why? What happened?" Korra asked.

"I don't want to talk about it. Just... it'll be better if you let him move on." Bolin stated.

"Woah wait, Move on?" Korra asked raising an eyebrow. Bolin just nodded and Korra immediately got his point.

Meanwhile...

"Chief, what's wrong?"

"There's a report that the Triple Triad kidnapped a child. We're heading there now. Go and call Tenzin. This is time the avatar must do her job and let everyone know that the avatar have returned."
