the tornado stories ~ overstimulated (hurt/comfort) ~ noodle/shootabirdie

A/N : Doesn't take place at a specific time, just really any time before episode 9. Autistic!Shootabirdie because I said so. Oh, and he is just gonna be referred to as Birdie throughout this for the sake of flow.

No tornadoes had come since the one all those years back, but it had made Noodle and Birdie both extremely paranoid of another.

One day, Noodle decided to set up a tornado siren, just in the case that another did hit, but it needed to be tested. On a normal day, he would've warned Birdie ahead of time that this was happening, but this was not a normal day as he was incredibly tired, so he just set them off.

Birdie woke up to a very concerning, very loud noise. When he went outside to ask Noodle what the fuck was going on, it felt as though the sound's volume had increased by ten and he very quickly felt overwhelmed by it, almost falling over from the impact. He quickly ran back into his house, but not before Noodle saw his startled reaction.

Realizing his mistake, Noodle quickly shut it off and ran to his boyfriend's small house. The door was locked but he was able to pick it and he made his way inside. Birdie wasn't on the surface level, but Noodle easily found him curled up and shaking in the corner of his basement.

"Hey" Noodle said quietly, wincing as he heard a small, panicked whimper in response. He took a deep breath and sat by the shaking slime hybrid. He did not make any advances in physical touch, as he didn't want to overwhelm him anymore, but he soon felt Birdie curl up against him.

"Is this a good level to talk at?" Noodle asked in a soft voice. Birdie just nodded in confirmation, so Noodle continued. "Sorry I freaked you out" he said softly, running a hand down Birdie's back in a soothing motion. "I was setting up the tornado siren in case we ever get another one and was just testing it out" he explained. "I'll be sure to warn you next time so you can get down in one of the basements"

"S'okay" Birdie replied in a small voice, craning his head up to give Noodle a small kiss. "I'm not mad" he reassured. "Just got a little freaked out. I love you"

Noodle chuckled lightly. "I love you too"
