A/N : I know this show is widely hated but... I think it's actually kinda good. Dumb as hell with stereotypes galore, don't get me wrong. But it pulls off a few things well. Example : I just watched episode 5 and I thought that Stat and Jacqueline's little romantic subplot was actually quite wholesome (up until that last scene, but even then it was pretty tame considering this show's track record). This fic takes place post-episode 5 and pre whatever happens next in the show. Also, Nonbinary!Stat because I said so.

Stat was pretty tired as they sat next to Jacqueline on the couch. The small robot's humanoid appearance was visible on the television screen, but the only physical body next to the hacker was the small spherical robot form. Stat briefly wished that Jacqueline could have her human form in the real world, but they were too tired to try and think of a way to accomplish that at the moment.

"You seem tired" the robot observed gently. "Do I?" Stat replied sarcastically with a small chuckle that couldn't help but make Jacqueline laugh as well. "Today was rather eventful" Jacqueline added, to which Stat just smiled for a moment, closing their eyes before responding once more. "It was more eventful for Mary and Twink" they finally replied. "And I think Deb, Pam, and V were also off doing something. We just kinda had a free day"

"You still had a little meet up with your crew" Jacqueline countered. "And recent events in general have been quite stressful for everyone"

Stat couldn't deny that. The recent missions they had gone on had been pretty stressful, especially considering it followed a decade of radio silence. A part of them missed the times where every day was a free day of just hanging around, waiting for a mission that would never arrive. Sure, it had been pretty boring at points, and overall they definitely preferred the excitement of missions, but it had been much easier on their anxiety.

"Yeah, I suppose so" the hacker said, voice a bit slurred as they were quite clearly tired. Jacqueline turned her small robotic body to lean up against them- The closest the two could get to cuddling. Stat fell asleep like that, and Jacqueline eventually decided to power down as well.

That was the best Stat had slept in a while.
