beast wars ~ panic attack (hurt/comfort) ~ scorponok & waspinator

A/N : Takes place during episode 6 in between Scorponok giving the order to save Megatron and the reveal scene at the end

Tarantulas and Terrorsaur had run off to find more energon (it was more of Terrorsaur going off to find it and Tarantula sneaking off to follow him, but same difference), leaving Scorponok and Waspinator behind to try and save Megatron. Scorponok was sure they could do it (after all, they were all made of just nuts, bolts, and wires. They should be easy to fix, right?) but Waspinator did not seem convinced. In fact, he was more panicked than the scorpion had ever seen him.

"Waspinator doesn't like this" he buzzed, his face as frantic as his beast form could express. "He will be fine, Waspinator" Scorponok assured him, but that didn't really seem to help. He should've suspected that Waspinator would take it the hardest considering how close he and Megatron had been, but hindsight's 20/20 and now they just had to figure out how to go forward.

"If- If Megatron is destroyed, then Waspinator has no one" the wasp continued, growing more upset by the second. "Not in the same way he had Megatron. Megatron was Waspinator's best friend, and he cared about Waspinator" he lowered himself to the ground, too panicked to keep flying properly. "M- Megatron is gone"

"Megatron is definitely in rough shape" Scorponok conceded as he crawled over to his fellow Predacon and put a gentle claw across his back. "But we can repair him. And even if we can't- Which is probably not the case- You still have me and the other Predacons" he said gently. Waspinator just shook under his claw as fear wracked his form. "Everything will be fine, Waspinator. I need you to focus on calming down"

"Waspinator can't just calm down!" the panicked robot countered, curling against the scorpion and shutting his eyes tight. "Megatron is gone! Terrorsaur killed him!"

"Terrorsaur temporarily destroyed his mechanisms" Scorponok corrected gently. "And Terrorsaur will get what's coming to him for that. However, if you want any hope of reviving Megatron, I need you to calm down" he coaxed the shaking bug. "Me and you can fix him, okay? We can do it"

"Scorponok really thinks so?"

"Yes, Waspinator. I do. Let's go fix him"
